Purchase: I went to purchase a Callaway 3 Wood with graphite shaft at a local store in Boston after using my brother's for a while. After watching me hit the ball with the Callaway, the Clerk recommended the TM 200 Steel which was considerably cheaper (I don't remeber the price). I tried it and bought it immediately. Pros: The club is very elegant (whatever that means) and hits well from everywhere (great lie even in rough).
What I like tho most is that I hit the ball straight with this club (so it must be forgiving since I normally hook the ball a bit) but at the same time it has a an amazing feeling.
The ball flies well with a beatiful trajectory that allows to control when falling in green.
Cons: The main problem is that the ball doesn't do much distance once it hits the ground. While this is obviusly great for shots to the green or for those shots which require control, it's not that good to substitute the driver in narrow fairways. Sometimes I play the driver in fairway to get the added distance, specially when hitting against wind. I guess you can't have everything! Quality: As I said, the feel of the club is great. It is well made and solid.
Review Summary: I have always played with Ping irons after abandoning by old Apexs but I will consider buying some Taylor Mades now and I am certainly considering substituting my Callaway driver for a TM.
Although some low handicappers may like a more agressive club, it's a great those 6-10 handicappers that don't play as regularly as we'd like.

Purchase: I bought both clubs at my local pro shop and I have never looked back. Both were about $180. Pros: When you hit this club you just know that you are going to see a beautiful ball flight. If my driver is not agreeing with me that day I will not hesitate to pull out the 3 wood and hit it 230 straight as an arrow. Cons: there is not a thing wrong with these woods Quality: quality and construction are both top notch. Review Summary: Since these clubs are not made anymore...if you find em, buy em!!! You wont regret it. On 2004-01-18, buster1151 rated this TaylorMade 200 Steel a 5...(2669)

Pros: The club sets up real nice. Square!!!!!
I had bought the 5 wood and really like the feel and distance that i got from the club.So i gave the 3 wood a try. This is my favorite club in my bag.
I used this club more than my driver. It will be in my bag for years to come... Cons: Nothing!!!!!! Quality: First Class Review Summary: I am very happy with my TM 300 driver and 200 series woods. I love the feel and distance that i get from these clubs On 2003-07-10, Junby Yao rated this TaylorMade 200 Steel a 5...(1750)
Purchase: Manila, Philippines, Golf Depot, approx. $149.00. Read through golf review. Pros: This piece of equipment is handy one to have in the bag. This 7-wood is a steal. Very forgiving and hits straight even on mishits. Possibly the best value in town. Cons: Have not had any bad experience with this club. Would recommend this to a beginner. A a long-time golfer would probably love this club too. Quality: Excellent construction as expected with a Taylor Made. Review Summary: I don't think I would trade this fairway wood with anything in the market today. I would recommend this to beginners like myself. It is a very dependable 7-wood with solid construction. No wonder the 200 series are one of the more popular ones on the tour.

Purchase: Got this club for Christmas and was a little iffy at first. Never liked hitting fairway woods in the past, I'd rather hit my long irons. But, I thought I'd give it a try...it was free! Pros: From the first hit I was sold. This is hands down the best feeling golf club I have ever hit. Solid feel, great trajectory, consistent results...frozen rope ball flight every time. Even from the deep rough this club can dig it out. Consistent 225-240 yard bombs are now the norm. Tossed the 2 and 3 irons into the bone-yard and just bought the 7 wood as well. I'm sold, this is a great club. Taylor Made hit the nail on the head with this one. Cons: Not much to dislike about this club...period. Quality: Great look and solid feel at set up. Hit it solid and the "thwack" breeds supreme confidence. Totally balanced, easy to fade and draw. Review Summary: This IS the last fairway wood you'll ever need. Hit it and you'll know why the tour pros use this baby. Helped me bring my game down from a solid 10 to a consistent 6 handicap. This IS how a fairway wood should be constructed! Purchase: I bought the Taylor Made 200 Steel 3 and 5 wood at Pro-Am Golf; paid about $159 (steel shaft) for each. Pros: The Taylor Made 200 Steel fairway woods are really incredible clubs..I know now know why they are the most used fairway woods on the Tour. The ball just flys of the face. Good control with the Rifle Steel shafts, don't really lose much distance with the steel shaft vs. the graphite shaft, but you gain control. These are excellent clubs for every level of golfer. I shoot in the high 70s and had been using Calloway fairway woods for some time, but these Taylor Made woods are head and shoulders better. Cons: There's not much not to like about these clubs. Quality: Construction and quality are first rate. Review Summary: I would recommend these clubs to anyone. The steel shafts are probably better suited to the "average golfer", and the graphite shafts for the "better golfer",(near scratch player who doesn't have to worry too much about control. Purchase: I purchased these clubs via eBay at around $157 each. They were sold locally for $229 each.
I decided on these clubs based upon a few reviews I read and trying them at the local range. Pros: I compared the Taylor Made with Cleveland Launcher and the Fat Shaft Wilson and found it superior in forgiveness and distance (10-15 yds longer) than both these clubs.
Cons: I have no complaints at all with these clubs and hope to use them for many years to come. Quality: Control over direction was the main selling point for me. I have a medium speed swing and went with the R-80 shafts. Review Summary: I recommend people try out various clubs at their local range if possible before they buy. A certain amount of confidence comes with knowing I've tried other comparable clubs and picked the one that felt best and worked best for me. No wondering or what ifs.
