Purchase: Friend purchased this club in the pro-shop at the local course after winning a gift certificate in the annual member-guest tournament. Pro-shop price was $249.00 with the graphite shaft. A little pricey, I know. But it is the pro-shop price...
Pros: I was carrying the Callaway Steelhead III generation 3-Wood in my bag at the time I tried this club. First of all, the Callaway is a great club with great distance. A few months ago, when deciding on a new fairway wood, I spent three hours in the store hitting the III generation and the 200 series. So, again, the Callway is a wonderful club. However, I started having trouble hitting that club even out of the fariway. I never hit it off the tee, and even couldn't seem to get the ball up to a reasonable trajectory when the ball was "sitting up" through a wonderful placement in the fairway. It seemed that a 5-wood could be more beneficial to my game. He offered a trade! Talk about a good friend! He wanted a 3-wood with a steel shaft he could hit off the tee; he hit mine perfectly and offered this solution. I hit his from the fairway and absolutely was amazed. Awesome, mid-high trajectory that I could easily control the amount of draw with. This club is fantastic. I have so much confidence standing over the ball; the ball just bounces off the face...it is soooo smooth. The graphite shaft ( I haven't tried the steel) works great with the club as well. I lot of people will complain about whippy stock graphite shafts in fairway woods. Do not worry about this any longer. Premium feel!! Premium Distance!! Premium Results!!
Cons: No Dislikes
Quality: Great looks are reinforced by the exceptional quality and performance known in all TaylorMade products.

Review Summary: The results that this club allows also allows you to hold that 'pose of proudness' for a long, long time. Furthermore, you will no longer be holding the pose after the ball has landed (producing snickers of laughter in your foursome) - it just so happens that it travels for that long a period of time.
