Purchase: Hitting with a graphite shaft was not cutting it, so decided to go back to Steel shaft and started by going to pro shops and hitting various brands and the clubs in my price range $600 or so. Narrowed it down to $ different makers, one of them being Taylormade R7's. Went to Golfsmith's tent sale the night before opening and spoted sopme R7 CGB steel shaft reg flex, only problem was no price, and they were to be priced the next day at the sale, so I had the salesman put them behind the counter, then I went inside to check the price, $1099.99, wow!!! Next day I brought $700 to the tent and they had not pricede them yet, then someone looking through the sale papers said ' all I have are some graphite shafts for $499 so i'll take $399 for them.. I had that cash on the counter before you could blink.. $433 including tax, brand new full set of R7 CGB clubs. Went out and hit the 7 iron about 20 times, just what the doctor ordered..The wife is happy also that I didnt spend all my money..
Pros: First thing I noticed and liked were the thick grips.. The feel when you hit vs my old graphite shaft(which are for sale) nice and solid, no vibration just ball.. Stright and true almost every swing and a great deal longer.. I can hardly wait till Sunday, see ya at Mustang Golf Course..
Cons: May take a little extra cleaning to get any dirt out from the backside, other than that they are great looking club.
Quality: I'll let you know a year from now
