Purchase: I've always wanted a set of these Taylormade irons and could not force myself to spend that much while only playing twice a year. Now that I'm out of the milatary, I intend to play much more. I found them used at Golfsmith for $250. Pros: On the first course using the new clubs, I shot a personal best. Every hit I wanted the ball was nearly there every time. I did not feel any impact in my hands when hitting the ball. These are the best irons I've ever played with and will be in my bag the next 10+ years. Cons: The grips. I will be changing them out sometime soon. But that is being nit-picky. Quality: Very solid construction, top notch quality. Again, these clubs will be in my bag the next 10 years. Review Summary: If you've been starting to play golf more often and are looking to upgrade from those beginner (wal-mart) clubs, get these clubs. You will definitely feel and see the difference the first time you take them out and get some course play. Not for the beginner, but you don't need to be pro to see the impact in your game.

Purchase: After an incredible bout of self-argumentative rambling, I went to Play It Again Sports (a used and new sporting goods outlet) 3 times to try and talk myself into buying these irons. The manager said he would let them go for $400.00. I had seen them online for about that much, but the inner skeptic in me kept saying: "You can get a different set for cheaper....c'mon!!!!"
Well, after my wife got tired of hearing me fuss over the decision, she finally told me to "just get them, dammit".
I paid $400.00 for the set (brand new), and have not regretted it at all. Pros: First of all, the weight of these clubs is perfect. It feels like I'm swinging a small rhododendron twig - no weight at all. The less club-head weight, the more control I have on those tricky shots. The crazy thing is, I really haven't sacrificed any distance for weight. In fact, I've gained at least 10 yards on my approach shots over the Top Flite irons I was hitting before!
Now, I'm not a great golfer by any means, but I know a good shot when I hit one, and lately, I've hit more with these easily-controlled irons than with any other clubs I've owned.
The shafts are stiff enough to provide a good amount of distance, but subtle enough to compensate for my absolutely non-professional swing.
Bottom line; these clubs swing like a nymphomaniac wife with a bad marriage.
The Taylor Made RAC HT irons are a great purchase, and I recommend them for the beginning to intermediate golfer intent on improving his or her game. Cons: I really wish i could have gotten these for $350, but the salesman wouldn't have it. Also, the grips get a tad slippery after a hot round in 95+ degree weather. other than that, no complaints. Quality: These irons are so solid, you could probably throw them off a cliff and shoot par with them afterwards. VERY durable construction as well as a great control-spin design that lends itself to the golfer who is willing to accept a few flaws in their swing in order to keep it close to the green. Great materials used and a very attrective design. Review Summary: If you don't want to spend money like you're a member of Brittish Royalty or a Billboard Top Ten Rap Artist, yet still want to improve your game through equipment choice, give these a shot.
These are great irons at a reasonable price; they'll last you years, even if your golf game doesn't.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
