Purchase: Purchased at Wide World of Golf for %599.00. I had a set of Wilson Deep Red 2 Tours and really didn't like the feedback I got from them. I swung a number of clubs at Wide World and was blown away by the feel I got from the RAC LT's. I took a 5 and an 8 iron to the range and after about 10 balls with each I had to have them - awesome feel and great sound - that thwack/tick sound when you hit it hard and clean is the one these clubs make most often. They're also an extremely attractive club to look at. Pros: I had the clubs extended 1 inch and adjusted 2 degrees upright as I'm 6'3". These clubs are extremely consistent, I don't find too many "fliers" and I can consistently depend on my normal distances in most all lies or conditions. It's easy to work the ball, but they never seem to get too extreme if I'm off, no big banana slices or duck hooks, just a nice gentle turn over in mid-flight, which is usually a little draw for me. And it's easy to get some back spin on shots in to the green. Also, the LT is supposed to mean Low Trajectory, but I haven't found getting the ball up an issue with these. They are 5 to 10 yards longer than the Deep Red II's were, and the faces are listed at the same degrees as the Deep Red II's are. The 7 thru PW get the ball well up, but I do believe the 6 and below offer a somewhat more boring flight, the ball just screams off of these. With the Deep Red II I'd use the 7 iron for a 150 yd shot, with the LT's it's an easy 8 unless there's wind in my face, and if the wind is pushing it might be a 9! Cons: The grips aren't the best, but they aren't so bad that I've changed them out yet, that will come next season. I haven't had any slippage problems and surely haven't flung a club across a fairway because I couldn't hold it. The grips are just non-descript and don't offer the reassurance of something like Lamkin or Golf Pride. Bottom line, you can use these grips but you'll probably want to replace them. Quality: Construction and quality are top-shelf! I checked them pretty hard when I got them and didn't find any visible flaws anywhere. The satin effect on the faces looks great and their thin top-line makes them easy to set up for a swing. From July through September I was playing 3 to 6 times a week, roughly 36 to 54 holes a week, and the grooves on the faces don't show any wear. Keeping the faces clean does help the workability of the clubs. Review Summary: I'm a 12 handicap and can't imagine wanting to move away from these clubs anytime soon if ever. They look great, feel great and are consistent as could be. I completely recommend them. If you have a chance to get them set up for you by a good shop or a pro that will only help you enjoy them more, and that's what the game is all about!

Purchase: I bought these at GolfTown in Markham, Ontario, Canada for $998 CAD. I bought these because I was looking for an iron taht had a "blade" like profile but easier to hit than my 962B's. Pros: I ordered them in 6.5 flighted rifles and loved the trajectory that it gave me. Excellent shaft!!! Cons: After playing a few rounds with them, I can't stand to look at them. I think that the head is too big, and that there is too much offest in the longer irons, not too mention feeling terrible. Quality: no matter what they say this is a progressive offset set of golf clubs. Quality is never an issue with a company like TaylorMade. Review Summary: Leave them in the store if you play a draw, and like a blade style iron. If you hit a little fade and are looking to break 80, try them out. Purchase: Local Golf shop (Charlotte, NC)
Paid: $650.00 Pros: I started playing golf two (2) years ago and started with a set of Callaway Big Berthas; gave me the confidence of hitting the ball with such a large club head. After getting my handicap to the mid/low teens, I wanted to play a set of irons which I could give a bit more play. I tested all the sets of irons out on the market but decided on the LTs since they look great at address (blade-like) and had a solid feel, even though they are cast clubs. (Note: these clubs do not have too much of a difference between forged sets since hitting them is like BUTTER!!!) I would only recommend these to player who hit the club face on a consistent level since they are not too forgiving. But since the weighting is excellent so mis-shots will be rare! I am so pleased at this time with no regrets! Cons: The scoring clubs (8,9,and PW) spin so much; the first round I played with them, I would hit the greens in reg however spun the ball so much that they would run back off the greens. Made adjustments to hit them a little longer so that the ball would spin back to the hole. Great feeling to pull the string back to the hole. The other guys were so impressed at the "crowd-pleasing" pull backs! Beware!!! Do not match they clubs with high spin rated balls like ProVs; playing a three piece without a high spin rate would be best (ProVx, Callaway HX tours, Nike DDs, One, etc...) Two piece balls are okay since the club face feels so good!!! Quality: Excellent construction and quality so far. Review Summary: Great clubs for players looking for a blade-like address look with some forgivness, forged quality feel without the normal "ugly" ware. So good that my wife caught me looking at them before I went to bed at night. Kinda the same feeling when you bring home a new car for the first time, always on your mind even though it's sitting in the driveway. On 2004-06-23, KevWIn rated this TaylorMade RAC LT a 2...(3799)
Purchase: Golf Discount $599 Pros: Nice looks. Nice feel. Convincing story in their ads/website. Cons: These are not low trajectory, nor are they particularly forgiving or long. Quality: Seem to be well made. But I did need some support and TaylorMade was useless and didn't care that I was disappointed. No comparison to Callaway or Titleist. No more TaylorMade stuff for me. I sold my TM irons, driver and gave away the TM bag. Good riddance. Review Summary: I am a 7 hdcp and aparently I am not good enough to play these irons. I switched to the Titleist 804.OS to great advantage. As an example, a shot on the toe area of the Titleist goes 35 yard farther than the toe area of the LT. On center hits, the Titleist is lower (still high) and longer. On 2004-03-31, Uncle Chunk rated this TaylorMade RAC LT a 5...(3243)
Purchase: Purchased from my local golf pro custom fit for $550.00 3-PW. I've been improving my game lately and wanted a forgiving club that would still allow me to work the ball. Pros: This is a really sharp set of clubs. They do have just the right amount of forgiveness. Not too punishing if you don't hit the exact sweet spot, but enough feel to let you know if you've heeled or toed it. Have a mid-trajectory flight which is really nice in the wind. Really long with strong lofts. Dynamic Gold shafts as standard. Not too pricey for the amount of club. These have a reduced offset which allows working the ball. Cons: I wasn't really thrilled with the grips that came standard, so I had them re-gripped with Lamkin Crosslines. Now they're perfect. Quality: Good quality and nice to look at too. Haven't had them very long, but I've always had good luck with Taylor Mades. Review Summary: Really nice combination of forgiveness and workability. The RAC OS's were way too big, but I liked their forgiveness. These rein in some of that excessive size and give better feedback, without losing all the forgiveness. A great club to bridge the gap between a game improvement cavity back and blades as your game gets better. On 2004-02-15, P.J. Evans rated this TaylorMade RAC LT a 5...(2842)
Purchase: Bought them on-line for $485.00. Did my homework and figured the LT (Low Trajectory) model was for me. Pros: What originally attracted me was the promise of 'extra' distance, I think they promised upto 2 club difference. Well, it's not 2 clubs. I'd have to say, for me... it was more like a 1/2 club difference. But there is a difference. But more than that, the pure feeling of a well stuck ball is awesome! It's very forgiving for mishit's as well. They still travel true to their line and still have respectable distance off heel and toe hits. Cons: There's nothing I don't like about these irons. They are simply the best iron's I've played with, and I've played with Taylor Made, Ping's, and Hogan's in the past. Quality: The look is very clean, nice visual design in the cavity. The clubs are easy to spot in a bag, something that you want when you're proud of your equipment - I am!
The quality is second-to-none, it's a Taylor Made and that means high quality golf equipment. I don't blindly follow Taylor Made, but they have come through time and time again. Review Summary: Best set of iron's I've ever hit or owned. The feeling of a well struck ball makes you want to hit.. 'just one more' before you end the round. You can't go wrong with these clubs! Purchase: TGW, custom ordered +.25", S300, Tour Wrap ~$650. Pros: These clubs deliver a feel and ball flight that pretty much equals the type and quality of the swing I give them. I hit them high, low, fade, draw, brilliantly and attrociously. The cavity back is mildly forgiving, improving, but do not fully curing mishits. While they respond well to smooth tempo (particularly the short irons), they seem to enjoy and invite a more aggressive spanking. They've done well hacking out of rough, and are very accurate chipping from the fringe. Cons: I like the sand wedge from 120 yards and in, but am undecided about using it from bunkers and frog hair around the green. This may be due to the rather aggressive bounce on the iron, the crummy sand on the home course, and/or my mediocre short game skills. I'm going to get a lob wedge anyway, and haven't decided between RAC-MB, Cleveland or Titleist.
Also, I don't need 4 irons to span 120 to 150 yards (9, PW, AW, SW). I think they could have spaced the irons a little more so the PW leads into the SW. Now, with 10 irons, I have to choose between a 5-wood and lob wedge. The good news is that at @98mph, the 3-iron is going 220, so a 5-wood would be of little value. Quality: First rate; never a question. Review Summary: The LT's are great clubs for someone lowering their hdcp to single digits. I have improved 7-8 strokes in the few months I've been playing them, not because they are superior per se, but because they encourage swing improvement by their feel and responsiveness to pure ball striking. Purchase: Wanted a club with less offset and lower ball flight. The Taylor Made RAC LT claimed to do both. Pros: Clubs look good at address and are easy to allign. They produce a lower trajectory than my old Maxfli Revolutions and the heads seem to be smaller which I think makes them easier to hit than the Revolutions. Cons: I've only played with this set about 10 times so the new hasn't wore off yet.. I do believe I made a good purchase and to date my only gripe is feedback. Not much difference in feel from good or bad hits. Also not much difference in direction or distance in center or off center hits so maybe feel isn't important. Quality: Taylor Made makes quality clubs. Review Summary: A good club for someone that wants a little smaller clubhead, little or no offset and a lower trajectory.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
