Purchase: I got the Taylor Made Rac OS at Golfsmiths. I bought them used in great condition for $300. I cleaned them a little and now they seem new except a few scratches on some of the clubs. The 3 and 4 iron look like they haven't even been used. Pros: These clubs add height and distance to the ball at the same time. They land softly on the green and barely move.I hit each iron about 10 yards longer than my old iron. I am now shooting about 12-15 over par. Cons: Theres nothing I really dislike. The only thing bad I can say is that it took me about 5 rounds to get used to them.I started out hit the ball fat and with a slice but I learned how to hit them well after a little practice. Quality: Seem like very good quality. Review Summary: Great irons. Recomend them to any golfer. I plan to play with them for many years to come.

Purchase: Purchased at a local Club for $300. I have just recently purchased after having played with a used set of Taylor made firesole w/ graphite shafts for the last five years. I really enjoyed that set but thought it was time to go new. Pros: The RAC irons have a good solid feel but are not as forgiving as my old set. The seem to hit straight. Taylor Made has always seemed like a high quality set. Cons: As with most of your reviews, the grips I would also rate as poor and will replace at the end of the summer. The wedge seems more like a nine iron than a wedge. Quality: Steel shafts seem poor quality but really too early to tell. Grips are poor quality, will replace them at the end of the summer. The heads are fine, however the heads seem to collect more dirt than any set I have ever owned. Review Summary: Set if fine. Just doesn't seem as nice as my last set of TaylorMades On 2005-04-08, Mike rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(5344)
Purchase: Bought them from Scheels Sporting goods, $599 last week. I've hit Taylor Made clubs before and was going to choose the Callaway X-18's or these. Went with Taylor Made's basically for the price. Pros: I live in MN so just got out for the 1st time this year, honestly after not playing for 5 months shot 8,10, and 8 over par. I'm normally a 15 handicap and I have not been driving well or putting well (the greens are not in great shape of course yet). My iron play has been unbelievable. I can feel a miss hit and the ball will still go straight! I've never hit such a forgiving club, worth all the money. Cons: Haven't found anything to dislike about these irons yet. Quality: Review Summary: Great irons, well worth the money they are very forgiving. On 2004-11-04, Adnan E rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(4748)
Purchase: I had previously had some cheap and worn Meridian irons. These were well past their sell by date so i decided to splash out a bit and buy some really nice irons. I went to American Golf Discount store and tried numerous makes, the Callaway X-16's and the Yonex V-Mass irons. However i fell in love with the RAC OS's instantly and decided to buy them for £440. For me, as a 14 year old with no job, this was quite a large figure. However, these irons were instantly worth their value. Pros: I went to the range and instantly saw that my 5 -iron was hitting 30 - 40 yards more than it used to. Also, if i hit a thin shot or didn't hit the ball with the full face of the club, i was amazed to see the ball still going straight with only a bit of the distance taken off. The RAC OS's forgiveness has really helped my golf, bringing me down from a 24 to an almost 16 handicapper. The amount of greens I am hitting with my long irons and par 3's I am hitting with the short irons are encouraging me to play more golf. Cons: The only thing I dont like about these irons are the grips. In dry weather they are great, however, in the wet, they are slippery and it is almost impossible to keep hold of the club! Quality: The quality of these irons is perfect and they are by far the best clubs i have ever hit. Review Summary: These clubs will almost definitely lower your handicap, and you will start to enjoy every round of golf that you play. GET THESE IRONS!!! Purchase: I generally shop thrifty for my golf equipment. It started as I was trying out new irons at the local sporting goods store when I fell in love with the TaylorMade Rac Os irons with a regular flex shaft. Ithen looked at the sticker price and felt that the price was a little over done at 549.00$. I then went home and turned on my computer and went to e-bay were I found the same irons new in plastic for 400$ now some people are sceptics of online auctions but i was pleasantly suprised and quite happy with my purchase. Oh yeah and the review of the club: I love the low weighted sole and the feel after impact. The draw backs with this iron ,the grips, I don't think Taylor Made put whole lot of thought into the grips. They are very slick and dont have much give. I have since replaced the grips with a set of lampkin corded grips and oh how I" love my new irons. I would make the purchase over again and would recomend these irons to any golfer out there. Pros: I like the low weighted sole. The impact feels very solid and you actually feel were you are putting the ball. The Quality they put into these irons is amazing. Cons: I didn't like the factory grips that came with these clubs I since have had them changed and now love every aspect of these clubs. Quality: Very well put together the hosel is well put on Review Summary: On 2004-06-09, Jack +3golfer rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(3733)

expensive but i deserved them after going down to scratch
Pros: the feel to them is great
gained 30 yards as a result of them compared to my cougars
and they keep the ball straight now my handicap is +3 Cons: Nohing to dislike has taken 3 strokes off my games Quality: the qulity is second to none
congrats talormade Review Summary: they can hit it higher and straighter so go ou and buy them just be prepared for the cost On 2004-03-30, Daniel J. Cho rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(3228)
Purchase: Even though a year has passed since my starting palying golf, I couldn't make a good improvement on mid-long iron shots. I could harly 150 yds even with # 5 iron. Frequently #7 iron shot was better than #5 in terms of distance. No wonder those long par 3 halls with water hazard between tee box and green were pains in my neck. The old Nicklaus irons (Accuforce) were too much for me in terms of swing weight. Being myself a skinny one, I found certain limits in improving my mid-long iron shots with those heavy feel irons. After some research I thought these TM RAC OS would right for me and purchased a set (3-PW) with graphite stiff flex shaft at $470 from ebay.
Pros: When I went to driving range for the first time with these irons, I was surprised to find myself hitting 150 yds easily with #7 iron. I could hit 170 yds with #5. I felt other people's eyes in the range glipmpsing my shots. My shots were just like those of my single handicapper friend. In addition to the longest iron shots I have ever hit, those forgiving irons gave me a level of consistency to my mid-long iron shots. In the field I used to hit #5 iron shots only to lose a ball in the green side woods / bushes. But last time I went out to field with these iron set, I didn't lose any ball due to mis-hit mid-long iron shots.
Cons: As a novice golfer hitting around 100, it is hard for me to criticize these wonderful irons to me. I heard some people saying that the irons were not good at shaping shots. Maybe those skilled golfers could go with steel shafted LT model not OS. I agree with some people saying that the high trajectory the irons offer may adversely affect my game. Also the grips could be better. Personaly I prefer lumpy and bumpy grips to those plain and smooth ones of the set.
Quality: The construction and build of the irons seems good. Frankly I can't tell anything about the build of the irons, since I didn't break any of them. At first I worried that they might not be sturdy as my old Nicklaus irons simply due to their light weight feel in the shaft and "made in china" labels for head and shaft. However a few times of usage have proved that they are of Taylor Made quality. The heads are stunningly beautiful and have attractive techno-look. (Those who like simple look may not like the design).
Review Summary: The bottom line is that:
The TM RAC OS irons are easy to hit and provide greater distance and accuracy. High handicappers like me or mid-handicappers will ceratinly benefit from them.

Purchase: I bought my irons on ebay for $350 brand new to replace my Tommy Armour 845 Oversize irons. Pros: Contrary to some other reports I have read, I don't hook the ball with these irons. I hit the ball a little higher and longer than my other irons. The best thing about them is their forgiveness factor. Even mishits go long, straight, and feel solid. Cons: The grips are awfully smooth. Quality: The clubs are aesthetically pleasing and have a very solid feel. Review Summary: The bottom line is that I am a 10 handicap tha plays once a week and I need game improvement technology. The RAC OS irons give me all of this for a reasonable price. Purchase: A month ago I went out late one night on a mission to buy a new set of irons. Though I was rushed for time I knew I was going to buy a new set. I have played blades my whole life and my attention never turned to a cavity back club. Until, I got to the pro shop and saw these clubs. I have heard these clubs are soft feeling and sweet hitting when hit correctly. So after a few swings I took a chance. Pros: These clubs are amazingly forgiving. Sometimes I can feel myself start to mishit the ball and even if I go ahead and hit it, the ball still ends up in the area I was aiming. The bigger face on the club gives me more confidence over the ball. I have gained only about 5 yards with each club, but my trajectory is unreal now and my accuracy is on the money. Cons: The only thing I don't like about these clubs is the grips. You would think with a great name like Taylor Made they would put better grips on the clubs. They feel slick and don't grip well at all in warm conditions. Quality: The quality is great. I love the oversized head and larger face for a more forgiving club. I also like the fact that even with the larger head these clubs aren't very heavy. Review Summary: Great Irons. Easy to hit. Very forgiving. Light weight. Improves confidence. Higher ball flight. Easy to spin. Easy to control in the wind if you need to hit a low shot. Great out of bunkers. Easy to hit in the rough. Bottom line....these irons will lower your scores in a heartbeat!! Purchase: I have been saving up for a nice set of irons for awhile now and I decided to purchase TaylorMade. I chose TaylorMade because year after year they have shown excellent quality and a wide variety of products. I purchased these clubs at my local golf pro-shop for about $600.00. To me that is a small price to pay for these excellent irons. Pros: I like these irons so much because theyhave an excellent low gravity sole that helps you get down on the ball and get it into the air. Even if you miss hit a shot, odds are that the ball will still end up in a good position. They are very forgiving. I also like these clubs because they are extremely light so you can get a very fast club head speed. Plus, the heads on the club have a new special insert inside that acts like a rubberball so when you hit the golf ball it is smooth and every shot feels like you hit it absolutely perfect. Cons: There is only one thing that I dislike on these new irons, it is the grips. They are very slick and I could see myself golfing and the club slipping right out of my hand. For this reason I have decided to replace my grips, but that didn't cost much so they are still excellent clubs. Quality: These irons have the new insert in the back of the club head so the ball comes off smoothly. I bought my irons with ultralight steel shafts and they really are light. You can also get graphite shafts and if you aren't a strong golfer that might be right for you. The grips are okay as long as you don't swing super hard. But, thats fine if you can keep control of the club. The RAC OS irons are extemely well built and have very good quality. There is no chance that they would ever fall apart unless they were defective. Review Summary: If I lost my irons today I would go right back to my local pro-shop and buy the exact same clubs, thats how satisfied I am with them. I also love the idea that all new TaylorMade clubs have I.D code that you can enter in the TaylorMade website. These are excellent irons and they are a great investment for any golfer. Purchase: I bought the clubs on ebay for a little under $600.00, they have regular flex graphite shafts. I thought the game improvement club would benefit my game. Pros: The clubs launch the ball with a high trajectory and correct a lot of swing faults. The clubs help hit the ball "straight." Cons: It is very hard to "shape" your shot, as the clubs will try to hit the ball straight. The clubs performed very well, but I have since changed to steel shafts for a more consitant feel. Quality: The construction and quality of the club are excellent. They feel solid and sturdy.
Review Summary: I would recommend the clubs to a beginner or person that is just picking up the game. For more advanced players, I would suggest the LT version with steel shafts. On 2003-08-30, ABronson rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(2202)
Purchase: I paid $499 (on sale) at a Las Vegas Golf and Tennis retail store in Las Vegas. After looking around, swinging several brands, talking with some golf pros and doing research on the internet I opted for the RAC OS. The clubs were described as forgiving, long, with a higher ball trajectory. I have standard length clubs with steel, stiff shafts. Pros: I am happy with the forgiveness of the club and the distance I have been getting. I switched from a old set of Spaulding clubs and I have gained about 20 yards with the low irons and 10-15 yards with the middle and high irons. The clubs feel comfortable in my hands and sound solid when hitting the ball. The ball jumps off the club with a higher trajectory and straight path when hit solid. Cons: I have noticed a little twist to the club when I am playing the ball out of the rough. I think it is due to the oversize head grabbing a little more grass and that I have big hands and need to get bigger grips. Quality: So far, so good. The clubs look great, feel balanced..the Taylor Made reputation was enough for me. Review Summary: One of my buddies has hit the 3Iron off the tee and he cannot believe the distance he got with it. He wants to go get a set for himself. I am very pleased with my purchase, I have only played 36 holes with them but have spent time at the driving range. I feel comfortable hitting every iron in my bag. I would recommend the clubs to a friend. On 2003-08-28, DGolfGuy rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(2187)
Purchase: On Saturday morning went on the hunt for new Irons. I ended up at a pro shop that did custom fitting and had a driving range that you could hit the ball outside and not in a cage. The Taylor Made RAC OS was the iron of choice after it was all said and done. After about 20 mins. of talking the guy down on the price, ended up paying $600.00. Pros: After trying out all the new irons at the pro shop and spending most of my Saturday. I found that I hit the Taylor Made RAC OS the best. I hit the ball straighter and on average 7 to 10 yards longer. I also noticed the the Taylor Made had a much better feel the most of the irons on the market today, I think it was the Rife shafts. Also liked that Taylor Made did all my fitting adjustments for free. Cons: Not to sound to crazy but the grips. Just not my style, had to put Winns on. Also when put on the shelf next to all the big boys, would not look like these irons would be your first choice. Quality: Great..Rifle shifts, great lines and awsome feel, what more can you ask for???????? except maybe they would be FREE. Review Summary: If you are looking for a great set of Irons please do yourself a big favor, try the Taylor Made RAC. I think after playing them and shooting lower scores you to will believe you made the right choice. On 2003-07-08, Tonnie Ronson rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 4...(1722)
Purchase: These irons were presented to me as a gift from an Association for serving as the unpaid State Chairman for a year. I had played with a set while visiting Naples Florida this winter and had mentioned how well I seemed to hit these clubs. Pros: I have been playing the original King Cobra Irons with grafite shafts for a number of years. The newer lightweight steel shafts in the RAC irons coupled with this clubheads ability to get the ball in the air easily makes these clubs easy to hit and keep on line. Additionally, the ball seems to bite better on the green, even from the middle irons. Same ball, same swing, better results. Cons: I am not overly fond of the grips. They have a rubbery feel and I'm not sure how they will hold up over time (I'm not the worlds best at cleaning the grips with any great frequency). I prefer the feel of the Wynn grips I have been playing. Quality: Taylormade seems to have put a lot of thought into the balance of these clubs. The appearance of the heads and finish of the metal is excellent. My uncanny ability to hit balls into places golf clubs should not be taken will test their construction over time. Review Summary: Definitely straighter, slightly longer and more forgiving than my older Cobras. Time will tell but I think these are keepers! Purchase: This was the first set of clubs I was ever fitted for. I payed $550 for 3-pw. Pros: Alot of control. I never hit my irons so straight. Cons: Nothing Quality: The clubs are still pretty new, but I think they will be in my bag for years to come. Review Summary: These clubs have shaved 8 strokes off of my handicap. I am so excited about golf again. On 2003-04-16, Joe B rated this TaylorMade RAC OS a 5...(1120)
Purchase: Purchased at Golf Unlimited. Sold for $599 with Steel shafts. Pros: After serious research, I sold my trusty Great Big Beartha irons (stiff graphite shafts) and purchased the Taylormade RAC OS with regular steel shafts. I was looking for more control, and found it. If I had bet the farm, I would have lost. In addition to control, I gained distance without swinging harder. These babies rate 9.99, only because golf is expensive. Cons: Nothing Quality: Nice finish Review Summary: RAC OS gets the ball airborne with ease. Purchase: Bought for $950 Canadian at Local Store in Ontario. Came down to these or the Mizuno MX-20's but just felt like these were more forgiving. Pros: All I can say is that i played my first two rounds of the year this weekend, and they are the most forgiving clubs ever. Every single shot was right at the flag. It was actually funny after a while. A couple I thought I hit horribly, but looked up and were sitting right beside the pin, no loss of distance what so ever. I have never been able to hit a 3 or 4 iron, and just recently almost aced a 205 yard hole with the 4 iron. Great Set of clubs. Cons: Absolutely Nothing Quality: The quality is great. What can you say, they are made by Taylor Made. Review Summary: I have always hit my irons straight, but was spraying all over with my last set. These are either straight, or have a slight draw which is workable. Can't wait for the summer to get here so that i can get more use out of these irons.
