Purchase: I bought the RAC irons at Dicks Sporting Goods on a special order. All clubs 1/2 inch longer. The store demos had a good swing feel, so I ordered a set.
Pros: I have used these for almost two years. They have a good solid feel, and the stepped peremiter weighting helps me hit down and through the ball as well as with any other club I have used.
Cons: Steel shafts are terrible! I reshafted all mine with True Temper shafts. Some of the originals broke in strange uneven patterns during normal play. Taylor Made would not even talk to me about replacing them. When I told them where the shafts broke, the rep said "That isn't swing related".
Quality: Steel shafts and grips are poor poor quality. The heads however are excellent. Review Summary: If you would like to try a set, buy a used set and immediately reshaft them with a quality steel shaft, otherwise you would be better off with WalMart specials.

Purchase: I have always played Cobra Irons as their loft allowed for more distance per club with less effort. After eight (8) years of using my latest set, I decided I wanted to take advantage of the "new" technologies available. While visiting my local pro shop with the intentions of trying Callaway's X-16s, the TaylorMade RAC's were recommended. I tried them, I liked them, I bought them. For a price of $549.00 for 3-PW, I am quite pleased.
Pros: What I like most about these irons is the solid feel experienced at contact. There is little noticeable vibration, as the ball explodes off the face. I, also, find I do not have to go down as hard at the ball to get the high trajectory. For the area of the US I live in (Southeast), this is great as the ball finds the greens with great stopping power. I find this better than pitching beyond the flag and backing up.
Cons: I can honestly not think of any thing unsatisfactory about these irons
Quality: So far, I can say the quality and construction appears first rate. Again, here in the southeastern US the fairways have a tendency to dry out leading to "hard" baked deadpan. Poor quality in construction of shafts and hosel adhesion quickly becomes apparent after a few rounds. The TaylorMades are holding up just great. Review Summary: I like these irons so well, I have become an unoffical spokesperson for them. I can honestly say that I have sold at least four sets to my friends. I belong to a group of sixteen that play religiously on Saturdays and Sundays. After allowing several of them to hit the RACs during practice and during play, they themselves liked them well enough to make the purchase and are as pleased as I am. Purchase: Required some nice irons as I took up the sport 12 months ago. I initially bought beginner set worth around £100 new. After playing for a year I though its time for me to buy some new decent clubs as I was and am still addicted to playing golf. So after visiting American discount Shop I fell in love with Taylor made Rac OS irons as they look and feel beautiful. I paid £399 for them and are worth every penny.
Pros: I liked the sound the club makes as you make contact with the ball. With minimum effort the ball flies straight and feels amazing
Cons: Theres nothing bad to comment about the irons.

Purchase: I got sick of my old irons, Pure Golf 431, and i went to Golfers' Warehouse to pick up a new set of irons. I tried 7 sets out and the taylor made os were the best by far.
Pros: Everything about the club, feel, grip, shaft, the oversized head. The oversized head makes it hard to mishit the ball. The ball flies far and straight.
Cons: Very hard not to like. Price is somewhat high. Custom fitted for $620.

Purchase: Bought on Ebay new for $435.00, I was tired of my old TaylorMade 200 irons and wanted to try the new hype.
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: I was not at all pleased with the RAC OS irons at all. Way to big and clunky, with a huge top line and very poor quality grips that are very slick.

Purchase: I am an American living in Australia. Bought the OS irons and V Steel woods while living in Australia. Paid about $1500 US for the set, including a Taylor made bag.
Pros: Unlike the other writer, I found the clubs to be great. Like the feel and had grips and clubs made to fit me. My game improved dramatically. Have steel shafts vs. graphite, which for me were better.
Cons: nothing.

Purchase: I aquired these irons on e-bay. I paid 420.00 plus shipping. (12.00)
Pros: These irons are great. They made me drop 5 strokes the first 18 holes I played. The progressive offset that they feature instantly fix the slice that over 80% of all golfers possess. But, if you hit a hook than these clubs will just make it worse. These clubs Gave me an extra 15-20 yards on each club. Great, accurate shots are what all golfers desire and these clubs will definately put you in a position to greatly improve your game. The best irons that i ever owned and the best that taylor made has ever produced.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. The only thing I wasnt totally in love with was that I had to chang the way I address the ball because of the offset. But that didnt matter because these clubs made me go from the low 80's to the mid and high 70's. Thank You Taylor Made!!!

Purchase: $400 on Ebay. I have been to swing analyzers & basically I am an 'off the shelf' fit so I thought I'd be safe with an Ebay buy. Got a GREAT deal.
Pros: I have been sold on Taylor Made clubs since borrowing a friends original Burner driver many years ago. I finally got the cash together to buy some 'real' irons. These don't disappoint. I got the 3-PW set & was going to stick with my PING knock-off SW, but the difference was so great that I had to buy the matching SW from TGW. The clubs give you a solid hit & feel on nearly every shot.
Cons: The marketing claim that you GAIN yardage with these clubs can be debated. With the higher trajectory I actually lost a few yards (of course that could be because I don't have to swing so dang hard to make sure I get 'good' hit). Other than that, there is nothing I dislike about these clubs.
Quality: Premium, 'nuff said. Review Summary: I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone. Once I figured out that I didn't have to overswing these clubs, my scores have been coming down. Purchase: Golf Mart for $599
Pros: These are great feeling clubs specially if you hit the sweet spot. The trajectories quite high so some player may not like it but they do have the LT version for people who likes lower ball flight. But for me, they are really great clubs.
Cons: None that I could find right now.
Quality: The 9 iron had a loose head when I first go it but after Taylor Made repaired, I have not had a problem at all. Other than that, the quality of the clubs are very good. Review Summary: Great clubs for all handicap levels. Get the LT version if you want lower ball flight.
