On 2005-07-20, Ron Fabian rated this TaylorMade Rossa CGB Fontana a 5...(5881)

Purchase: After having a horrible putting day, I decided enough was enough and drove to a local pro shop called the Pittsburgh Golf Headquarters "Formerly Hackers Helpers". I immediately walked over to the putting green and looked over the different styles of putters they had. After about an hour of testing putters, the Taylor Made Rossa CGB Fontana won hands down. The Price Tag was also just right on clearance for $99.00.
Pros: The putter has helped me develop a more consistent "Just felt right" putting stroke. The tungsten inserts are wonderful and the weight system helps keep your wrists locked to prevent pushing to the right or left which was a big problem that I had. The Titallium face insert and CG rods really do provide a smoother put. With my previous putter the ball skipped at contact. With this putter the ball rolls even when applying a little more "Gusto" behind your putts.
Cons: The Price was right and it has improved my game. There isn't anything I don't like about the putter.
Quality: The club is brilliant. High quality steel shaft, Perfectly located tungsten weights, Large ruby red color Titallium that brings a sense of awe to the green. The putter grip also has a nice soft yet firm feeling.

Review Summary: I have easily shaved 4-5 strokes off my game. With my old putter I was 2 and 3 putting almost every green. Now 3 putts are very rare and 1 puts are more common. I'm not saying this putter will have you playing in a pro circuit in a couple weeks. I have had this putter for 3 weeks and I still haven't signed any endorsement deals :-) However, if your looking for a game improvement this club is a sure bet that you will be nailing putts more consistently.
