On 2006-01-31, Hopefully scratch this season rated this TaylorMade Mid Rescue a 5...(6635)

Details: 16 deg steel stiff

Purchase: Paid $106 with Golf Pride grip at Golfsmith.
Pros: Wanted something to replace old Mizuno 2 iron. I might be one of the last to use the 2 Iron (which I loved off the tee) but time to move on. Found this 16 degree very easy to hit off the tee and off the ground. Very easy to hit with a great trajectory. Nice weighting. I went from hitting a 2 iron about 235-265 off the tee and 220-255 off the ground to hitting this 265-290 off the tee and 255-280 off the ground. I even registered one off the ground at 311 off the computer.
Cons: The stock grip, but no biggy cause for $5 you can change it. Otherwise no complaints.
Quality: Like all TaylorMade equipment it is top notch.

Review Summary: Great all players but see this as being great for low handicappers who like to hit irons off the tee for par 4's shorter than 380 yards or just for accuracy on other holes, or for par 5 2nd shots. Probably not the best for softer landings but all in all a great club
