On 2005-05-21, aussie battler rated this TaylorMade Mid Rescue 3 Ultralite stiff flex shaft a 5...(5535)

Purchase: I purchased this club along with the new cgb irons same flex shafts throughout. I got a great deal of an importer who supplys brand name clubs at great prices direct from the states.Paid $1,500 Australian dollars for the 8irons & the rescue club all graphite shafts saved $800 on Retail and there not chinese look-a likes,There are plenty of those getting around so be careful.
Pros: This is the best go to fairway/Rough club anyone can put into their bag.Long irons have not been such a problem for me as they are with many of my fellow clubmates. My 3iron goes out 185-195 Mtrs and the distance i achieve with the rescue club is about the same. Why have it then? Because you can hit this baby from any part of the course.Less head twist than the iron option,it installs greater confidence in you once you have learnt the many different shots it offers from 200 to 10 metres from the pin.It really is as named a utility club.
Cons: The grips on my cgbs and the rescue get a bit of a slippery feeling on hot humid days.I dont like to play generally in that type of weather,So a dry glove and keeping the sweat of my hands on those occasions will suffice until i re-grip them.
Quality: Really good quality. As is all the taylormade gear that i have purchased.Only thing is they really show swipe marks on the bottom but its nothing that you cant polish and buff out .

Review Summary: The bottom line on this club is if your thinking about getting a utility club definately try a demo one of these out. make sure you get the right shaft for your swing and remember this club is not a Fairway wood ,You can crush the ball just like an iron and they just explode of towards the pin. Go try one!
