On 2004-03-31, Israel rated this TaylorMade Rescue Mid Steel Shaft 22 degree ( 4 ) a 5...(3239)

Purchase: Bought this at a local golf superstore. Paid $139. Upgraded the grip to a Golfpride Tour Velvet, so price was at $154.00
Pros: I really like the steel shaft model. I tried the graphite, but I hit the steel shafted model flush everytime in the practice netting. If you hit this club square, everyone within two fairways will know. Very distinct "ping" on square hits. Great feedback. Forgiving on offcenter hits, ( but no miracle, if you have problems with your long irons you may need to try it a few times to get the feel. I play the ball up about 2.5" inside my front foot.) a different sound off the club. Great club, I will try and get the 2 as a five wood equivelant since my five wood is very inconsistent.
Cons: The original Taylor Made Grip seemed a little slippery to me. I upgraded to the Golf Pride Tour Velevet. Great inexpensive grip. Very tacky.
Quality: No complaints. Like I said I prefered the steel shaft over the graphite. I feel more control with the graphite.

Review Summary: Great club, especially for the high handicapper such as myself who is working to lower the score. Great for those who have problems with long irons. Great for slapping out from under a tree.
