Purchase: I picked this up on sale at a local golf shop for $21.99. I watced Dave Pelz on the Golf Channel talking about spinning golf balls so they track true while putting. He's awfully technical, but it sounded reasonable.
Pros: I don't know if the line on the ball helps in lining up the putts more than the ball rolling "truer," but I sank a good deal of my putts when I put this into use. The putts from six feet and in were automatic. It took a few "practice balls" to get the technique down with this thing, but ultimately, it did its job.
Cons: If you press too had with the marker, kiss that nice new ball goodbye. The line will be really wide and it will look like a range ball. Great, huh? Also takes a special marker. It would be a lot nicer if they made it so it fits a Sharpie.
Quality: All plastic. We'll see how long this guy lasts, especially the motor.

Review Summary: While the construction does leave something to be desired, it does what it says it will do. Like I said, I'm not sure if the line is more of a benefit in lining up the putts than the ball rolling straighter, but it has worked for me. Also nice to point your tee ball down the fairway with. It's supposed to make the drives go straighter too, but that seems too good to be true to me. Worth a look for all you golf geeks like me.
