On 2007-04-25, Charlie P. rated this Thomas Golf AT-510 a 5...(7729)

Details: I used their standard Graphite shafts with their standard loft and lie. I purchased the 6 Iron thru to the sandwedge they do not make a Lob Wedge for this set. I use a matching set of Nike Wood hybrids for shots over 150 yds

Purchase: I went on-line after I saw a review of these clubs by your folks. I was impressed. I paid with shipping for 6 Iron thru SW $294.00 plus $14.75 for shipping
Pros: The Thomas AT-510's are a handsome set that resemble at first glance forged Irons and have a mirror finish. I was so impressed with their looks that I took out my Iron covers that I used when traveling on an Airline and decided to use them everyday. My experience with the alignment system, which in itself is nothing new, helps duffers like myself who better than half the time forget to really pay attention to how their lined up. I know it’s always been one of my problems. Once I started paying attention to the alignment mark at the top of the clubs. I then started taking a bit more time to setup. First I went behind the ball and picked a spot and then when I took my stance I made sure the alignment mark was lined up with the spot. In almost every case I had to adjust my stance to be sure I was setting up to the target correctly. Once I started doing this on every shot even the bad shots I hit were going straight. I hit some shots right at the pin and my chipping improved a lot. Proofs in the pudding I shot 5 strokes under my handicap on my very first round with these new Irons. When struck correctly the ball went high and on average 5 yards further than my old clubs. The 6 iron flew the equivalent of my old 5 Iron. A bit over 150 yds. It does take a while to visually get used to the oversized heads but to be honest it sort of gives you a sense of confidence because they’re to big to miss hit and the diamond alignment on the face itself also aids in your setup. Although I paid for regular shipping Thomas sent the clubs 2 day delivery. When I went through their fitting process I went back and forth with their customer reps until we concluded that their standard Irons loft and lie would do me fine and so they did. They were very helpful.
Cons: My only complaint is that Thomas Golf does not make a matching Lob wedge for this set. I no longer want to use different clubs for different shots because it forces you to make to many adjustments. They claim one of their other sets has a lob wedge which they judged would be as good a performer but it is a much different Iron. So until they do make a matching set I’ll just use my old 60 degree lob wedge.
Quality: Thomas says the clubs are made from surgical stainless steel and they come with a mirror like finish. From grips down to the iron heads the construction based on my knowledge were very good.

Review Summary: These are fine game improvement clubs and perform as advertised. Several of my fellow golfers came over and admitted the clubs were really great looking. They also were taken back by the low price. Overall these clubs were everything I hoped for and more.

Details: Custom fitted irons from SW (loft 55degree, lie 64 degree+1 and length 36'') to iron 6 (loft 30 degree lie 61,5 degree +1 and length 38'')Great looking irons graphite regular shaft: http://www.thomasgolf.com/510mens.shtml

Purchase: I found these great irons after an evening searching at the internet. (live in the Netherlands)The revieuws and the The patented Aim and Alignment Indicator for accurate shot placement made, plus the custom fitting made me decide to buy these irons, although I wasn't able to test them.
Pros: I bought 2 weeks ago the Thomas Golf AT-510 irons. SW - 6 iron. Perfectly custom made, lie + 1 degree and the right grips for me. The patented Aim and Alignment Indicator for accurate shot placement realy forced me to concentrate on the right direction. After 2 weeks I only can say that these irons helped me to improve my game dramaticly. The constant direction reminder, and the excellent hand made clubs give a great feel and confidence. My mid and aproach game did reach the wanted level: the bal flies right ahead to the middle of the fairway and falls within 2 meters of the flag on the green. Thomas golf my compliments great clubs, quality at least at the level of the great brands,(investing a lot in advertising)where Thomas Golf invests in the production of the clubs. That's value for money, bought these irons for less than 300 Dollars. (living in the Netherlands)
Cons: Realy nothing, (probabaly that some scratches won't be to avoid on the good looking irons)
Quality: The construction as already told is customfitted and with components of great quality. The regular graphite shaft swings as expected and the clubheads just look and feel great. Ofcourse don't I know how the clubs are in a few years but first impressions is very good.

Review Summary: Great job Thomas Golf ! Keep concentrating on producing great golf equipment and let the users do the advertisement. That's what we need, the best golfequipment for a reasonable price.
