Details: White number 2s. Titleist says the NXT Tour is designed for mid to low handicap players who are looking for the ultimate combination of soft feel, control, and distance. The NXT Tour has a multi-layer construction, with a new higher coverage dimple design and staggered wave parting line that can give you longer, more controlled drives. The NXT Tour, they claim, is longer with the driver and long irons, while still having a soft feel and control into and around the green.
Purchase: I was playing a round at a golf course in Ohio and needed a sleeve of balls. I bought these for about $5 in the Pro Shop at the course. Pros: The cover holds up well for a ball that is supposed to be on the soft side. I lost one of these during my round, but played the rest of the day with the other and there were really no major scuffs, cracks, or other anomalies with the ball. Cons: I think the NXT Tour is a little on the pricey side for a ball that is marketed towards the average golfer. I think Golfsmith charges about $37 for a dozen of these, Titleist has the MSRP set at $40 and I think a price point of around $30 would be more appropriate. You can get a decent ball for under $20 these days and I don't think, at least for someone at my skill level, the price really justifies the performance. Then again, how many do you actually go through? Quality: Quality and construction are first rate. The two inner cores are made of Polybutadiene, and the outer cover is constructed of Fusablend® with a 0.05' thickness. The dimples are in a staggered wave pattern and icosahedral in shape. There are 392 dimples. Review Summary: I'm pretty pleased with the performance of the ball. Although I'm not able to control my spin all that well at my level, the ball was definitely forgiving on drives and approach shots. The toughness of the construction was also worth mentioning and being able to play a ball all the way through your round, regardless of the number and types of different lies you introduced it to is a good sign. For average golfers, balls can land in some pretty rough conditions out there and I certainly introduced this NXT Tour to all of them.

Details: 2007 model as far as I know. These were top quality refurbished.
Purchase: I bought these from a local pro shop. As stated, they're top quality refurbished. I bought them for $10 per dozen. Pros: These balls have a nice flight to them when struck well. I can get some good spin around the greens and they feel good off the fairways. The AIM strip is always nice and the ball putts very easily. Cons: Quality is the issue here. Everything else about this ball is fine. Quality: These peel VERY easily. I took a 6 iron off the box with a fresh NXT Tour and killed the thing (huge peel spot and grass discoloring). After that hole I switched to a different ball (Nike Powerflight) and used the same one for the rest of my round. The NXT Tour has a weak cover that can't take any small sign of abuse. Review Summary: Good ball if you aren't a very hard hitter. However if you plan to put some 'oomf' into your swing, stay away from this one. You'll go through a dozen before you turn the corner. Purchase: I got a dozen logo overruns at a golf superstore in Los Angeles. $14.99...they retail there for $26.99/doz. I have tried this and every other ball in the $16-26 range trying to find a good feeling ball that has plenty of distance. Literally tried 'em all... Noodle, Hogan Hawk, Bertha, e6, HX Hot, Ignite, NXT, Exception, etc... Having tried the NXT recently, I was not sure what to expect, was not impressed w/ NXT. They're good, but not for the money. Pinnacle Exception is the SAME ball as the NXT (2 piece, same compression, same dimple pattern, different paint, way different price)...For $8 less you can use the Exception...no brainer. But the NXT Tour is a 3 piece, 2 'cores' and a soft outer cover. So at that awesome price, I knew I was OK, even if they were the same as NXT's. Good but pricey otherwise. Pros: Like it a lot. Really high-quality ball. If I can find a deal on them, I will continue to play them. The NXT Tour has great distance, the 3 piece style really does reduce driver spin. The soft cover does allow you to make shots, I spun it back...(not with HX HOT, Bertha, AD333, e5) It's really good. Cons: Nothing but the full-price price. They're worth the price on their own, but I have a preference for a different ball. Quality: Top notch all the way. Solid. Review Summary: When they are full-price, they are hard to justify for me, due to one other ball. Nike Ignite...it is everything the NXT Tour is, and I think a little better...not to mention 2 bucks cheaper. So at a huge markdown, amazing. Full price I'll play the Ignite, save the 2 bucks...but if you prefer the NXT Tour...they're both awesome...worth 2 bucks more? Yes. This ball is a 4.8!!! Purchase: I got these on sale @ 18.00/dozen at Minor Park GC in KCMO. I bought them for the name and for what I had heard about the distance and feel of these balls. Mainly they were on sale and I thought it would be a great opportunity to 'stray' from my regulay brand. Pros: The distance is very nice, but not greater than with other balls. Great control around the greens. Little spin, which, for me, is good and bad. Cons: These balls scar and nick-up EVERY TIME I HIT AN IRON OFF A TEE. I'm teeing the ball low (par 3's obviously) and, if it weren't for the sale price @ 18/doz I would really feel ripped off. I tee one up, hit it, and that's all she wrote for that ball (it goes in the 'bone' pile). Longer fairway irons also scar these balls ON PURE CLEAN HITS !
I will never buy these again. Quality: They look like any other ball, but, they are way too delicate.
Maybe women would like them. Review Summary: I'll never buy them again....waste of money unless my girlfriend hits my iron shots for me....the cover is NOT durable at all. I like the distance, but Pinnacle and others offer the same distance with a more durable ball overall. On 2005-08-21, Chris rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(6087)
Purchase: I bought a dozen of these balls at Golf Galaxy, in Nashville TN, for $22-95. I had previously tried NXT Tour 2003 and had liked them, but found I couldn't control them on the greens as well as I could a 3-piece ball, so when I heard that the new NXT Tour was a 3-piece ball I decided to try them out. Pros: I really liked the control I can get with this ball, I can stop it on the greens really quickly with anything from a 6-iron up, it flies pretty straight off the driver and behaves itself on a windy day. In my opinion it putts as true as any ball I have played.
And I love the price, at half the price of Pro V1 and 1X, it is a real bargain. Cons: I cannot think of anything I dont like about these balls. Quality: Nothing wrong with the way the ball is made, I have hit the odd cart path with very little damage to the ball, it does not cut up much with wedges (and I dont hit a lot of greens in 2, so I use my wedges a lot), I have not used it on any course with hard dry fairways, so I can't say if it would scuff much. Review Summary: I have played Pro V1, Strata Tour Ace, Nike TA2 and Callaway HX Tour in the past, and would rate this ball as highly as any of them. I would recommend that everybody give it a try at least once. On 2005-07-31, Joe Golfer rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(5977)
Purchase: I got a free two pack for filling out a survey on the computer. They sell for around $26 per dozen at the local Golf Galaxy. Pros: It's actually a very good ball.
All that talk about low spinning balls going further must have something to it.
With the combination of my high launch driver, the ball gets up quickly, but then levels off nicely and goes a long way.
It also has a soft feel on touch shots, a weakness of mine. It has good soft feel on wedges and putter, improving that aspect of my game. Cons: Nothing to dislike Quality: Very good quality, of course, Titleist generally makes a good ball. Review Summary: I've been playing the Callaway HX HOT golf ball. The NXT TOUR is very similar to the Callaway.
In comparison, I'd say that the Callaway is just a smidgen longer than the Titleist, but the Titleist is just a bit softer in feel than the Callaway.
both are similarly priced, and both are excellent balls for the guy who doesn't want to spend the big bucks for the premium balls that he probably wouldn't be able to take advantage of anyway unless he swings at pro speeds of 115 mph or so. Purchase: Purchased a dozen at nevada bob's for 30$cdn or so. Pros: Its WAY long, i broke my all time record with a 290 yards drive a few days ago. I have a slice problem but this ball doesn't spin much off the driver.
When i did hit my irons properly i was able to stick on the green. I love chipping and putting with this ball, great feel. Cons: Scuff easily with short irons and doesn't spin a lot. Will HOLD greens but rarely backs off. Quality: Good overall quality, but will scuff a bit with short irons. I can't play 18holes with one ball but i've never seen a ball that can do that anyway. Review Summary: My #1 ball for now. Great for driving, chipping, putting. Bounce once and stops with long irons.VERY LONG with the driver.
Spin rate for my swing
driver = low,wich is great
long irons = good, bounce and hold
Short irons = bounce and hold, no back
Chipping = doesn't "check", rolls On 2005-06-27, tscaggs rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 1...(5753)
Purchase: I have read alot of mixed reviews about this ball, so I thought I would see if it would be a decent stand in for it's big brother(Pro V1). I purchased them on ebay for around $60.00, I purchased them in a bulk amount. Pros: This ball has good distance and feel, but that's where the warm fuzzies wear off. Cons: They scuff VERY easily. I'm not talking about any cartpath or tree love here. The very first shot I hit with an 8 iron just shredded this ball. Quality: Like I said, it has good feel and good distance. But the construction of this golf ball is very, very poor. Review Summary: With the name Titleist you expect more. This ball is a major let down. I was very disappointed. Purchase: I paid $11.95 for a dozen at lostgolfballs.com. Pros: These are good quality balls with good feel, excellent distance, and good performance around the green. Cons: Nothing. Quality: It's a well made ball that delivers. It doesn't seem to scuff too badly. Review Summary: If you're looking for a ball with good distance that doesn't sacrifice performance around the green, this is definitely worth a try. Purchase: My friend didnt like the NXT Tour that he had so he gave it to me. I used it on the course the next day. Pros: The ball feels good, pretty soft but not too soft like the ProV. It spins pretty decent around the greens. It is the best ball for 25/doz. If you want to go alittle more expensive look into HX Blue or Hogans Hawk. Cons: It seems to get beat up when all it has touched is the fairway. Quality: Fair for a 25 dollar ball. Review Summary: A pretty good ball for the price. Im not sure if it is worthy of the Pro V On 2004-05-15, Brownie rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(3650)
Purchase: Was given to me by a friend. Pros: Everything. I don't really like the mega-buttery soft feel of the ProV1, because it doesn't feel like I hit a solid shot. However the NXT Tour has just the perfect combination of firmness for my longer shots and softness for my putts and wedges. Spins very well, and no distance is sacrificed. I have never been able hit my irons and be able to make the ball dance back 3 feet, but I was able to do so with the NXT. Also a fairly durable ball. Cons: Nothing really. I have to be able to control my driver swings to keep it straight though, because of the high spin (but that's not a dislike about the ball).
Quality: Excellent quality, just what I excpect from Titleist. Review Summary: Very good distance, perfect feel, great spin, and durability. And a manageable price to top it all off. I would highly reccomend this purchase.

Purchase: After trying a couple of Pro V1's that I found I decided to read up on Titleist balls to see if they made something similar, but cheaper. I liked the reviews of the NXT Tour, so I bought a dozen from Walmart at $24.95. Pros: I found it real easy to hit these straight and long, they performed as well if not better than the ProV1 in that department. Held the green well, I don't get a lot of spin so I'm happy to stop the ball pretty quickly, and this ball worked for me. The little <NXT Tour> on the side is really useful for lining up putts, and the ball rolls straight and true. Cons: Nothing to dislike. Quality: Good quality balls, don't cut or scuff noticably, seem to last for ages. Review Summary: I have used these balls for the last few rounds and I love them. I have tried a whole lot of different balls and this is the best value for money I have found so far. Half the price of Pro V's and most of us would have a real hard time telling the difference. 21.99 a dozen Pros: excellent playability, I had three eagles in one round all on par fives two of them had spin and spun back into the hole, I felt like I was a professional. Purchase: Purchased for 26.99 at Dick's Sporting Goods. I am a decent player and am happy with my equipment, but I have never found a ball I could rely on round after round. Pros: I have experimented with sleeves of all of the "top of the line" balls, but have had a problem with their durability. I feel that I get very close to the same performance as the Pro V1, HX Tour, etc, but get more mileage out of the NXT Tour. The durability is becoming more of a priority to me. Also, the ball is just as long as other makes. Cons: No dislikes thus far. Short game practice has familiarized me with the behavior of the ball around the greens, so I do not miss any added performance from the higher end models. Quality: Again, the durability is a step up from other balls. A "top-notch" ball is no good to me if it gets scuffed and scarred on well-struck wedge shots. The NXT Tour does not do that. Review Summary: The NXT Tour is long, and with practice, will become predictable around the greens. It lasts as well, so I feel that I am getting my money's worth. Stick with it for a round or two, and you won't miss the Pro V1. You can also use the money you save to buy a round on the 19th. On 2004-04-26, golfjunky75 rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 2...(3519)
Purchase: Ian McAllister is always on my TV screen ranting about the NXT's while I'm trying to watch the tournaments, I couldn't resist. Paid $24.99 for a dozen. Pros: These are really long, they sure live up to the hype. Very straight off the driver and easily 10 yards longer with every club than other balls I've played. They're not too pricey (initially; read dislikes below.) Hold the green fairly decently on approach shots. Cons: The covers scuff like mad. After about 9 holes it looked like I was playing on asphault (no cart paths or parking lots were encountered, just so ya know!) 9 holes with one ball makes these pretty expensive in the long run. I can play 2 rounds no problem with a Callaway HX Blue if I don't lose it! Quality: These perform well in terms of distance. However, what they don't tell you is that you'll be buying twice as many of these compared to other balls. Scuff like crazy. Review Summary: Due to the lack of cover durability, I would not reccommend these balls. Really long, but not worth it. On 2004-03-16, Wavewolf rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(3113)
Purchase: Roger Dunn, $24/dozen Pros: They are long (especially with driver where the ball compresses more than with irons), stick on the green for approach shots, and have good putting feel. Price is good for this quality ball. Cons: Nothing so far. Quality: Review Summary: What a great combination for the price. I'm a 12 handicap and can notice the basic difference in balls. Purchase: Found two of them and started playing them Pros: I had never sought out the NXT but one day I found two of them in near perfect condition. My outing this week gave me my first opportunity to play an entire round with them and I have to say I am really pleased. I had started playing the Callaway Blue ball almost exclusively and while I like it, the NXT was without a doubt longer. Some have also said that it will not spin and I did not have any problem stopping it...even backed one off the green. I shot an 83 which matched my lowest round ever and usually buy AAA used balls on ebay. I will defintely put the NXT tour on my list next time I'm in the market for balls. Cons: Nothing in particular. Quality: Very durable ball Review Summary: It is good enough for me to notice the difference. Plenty long, I even out drove my playing partner a couple of times and that hardly ever happens, but still soft feeling with stopping power. Purchase: Austad's Golf in Maplewood, MN. $22.95 a dozen. The Pro V1's are just too spendy! Wanted a distance ball with soft feel and that can stick on the greens. Pros: The price is reasonable. These balls are very long, just as long as the Pro V1's if not longer. Fairly durable cover, but they do scuff a little after a full round with one ball. Nothing that should affect playability too greatly. These do have some spin into the greens on approach shots with your irons. I play in Minnesota where the greens tend to be fairly soft. I am able to back the ball up a foot or so with these. Pro V1's or Nike TA2 SPN I can back up a couple feet further. Not bad given the price. Better spin than the NXT Distance. Cons: Not as much spin as I would like around the greens. I am used to the Nike TA2 SPN & Pro V1's and how you can chop down on them and create backspin for those pitching wedge runners around the greens. Not so with the NXT Tours. They will run on ya if you try to impart backspin around the greens. Decent spin with full iron shots, though. Covers scuff a little bit after a full round with the same ball. Quality: Pretty good for the money. I might be inclined to pay the $7.00 difference and get the Nike TA2 SPN's next time just so I can get the spin I want. Pretty good durability. Soft feel. Review Summary: Give 'em a try if you just can't bring yourself to pay $40.00 for a box of Pro V1's. They're a pretty solid ball for the money. I like them better than the Precept Laddie and the Maxfli Noodle, however there is a spin version of the Noodle I haven't tried yet... Purchase: I bought a box of three balls. I wanted to see if they were a ball worth $2.50 a pop. I purchased at my local pro shop. I currently am playing the last of my Taylor Made balls and Taylor Made does not make them anymore. Pros: I may have added a little distance with this ball but it does feel good when hit. I can still spin the ball enough to hold the green from sixty yards out. Inside sixty yards it wants to run a bit. Cons: The price. It does run a little more than my Taylor Made balls. Quality: Review Summary: I have played three rounds and the balls hold under play. I think this is the replacement for my Taylor Made ballls. Purchase: Purchased a 3 ball sleeve at the Tour 18 Clubhouse at Humble Tx. I believe it was $9.00 Pros: This is a great all around ball. It flies straight and long. I have no problem stopping this ball on the green. The people that can't stop this ball most have shoot with a very low trajectory. This ball take a one hop and stops dead. Cons: Nothing Quality: Very high quality and very durable. Review Summary: Great ball for the money. I have played ProV's and there is no reason to spend that kind of money when you can get the NXT Tour for half the price. On 2003-04-24, MNmike rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 3...(1191)
Purchase: Found one in perfect shape on a recent round. Thought I'd try before I buy. Pros: Really long! No wonder the golf course architects are ranting about it!! Soft feel and good control when driving the ball. Cons: This ball is difficult to control with shorter irons. Feels kinda like a super ball coming off the irons. Feels great off the driver, but prefer the ProV1 in all other respects. These balls are long, but it threw off my distances on approach shots with my shorter irons. Quality: Good quality. Amazing length (if you can control it!) Review Summary: Pony up for the ProV1's. These are good, but just can't compare with their big brother when it comes to iron play. On 2003-02-18, Richard T. Purchase: It was two days before the club championship at my home course and I wanted to have anew box of golf balls to play with. Titleist Pro V-1* golf balls are my favorite but I didn't have enough money so I went to my local golf store (a Golf Galaxy) and noticed that the NXT Tours were on special for $22.95 a dozen so I thought I would try them out. I won my age group using them. Pros: The golf ball rockets off the club face with very little spin on the longer clubs and goes dead straight, but also has a very soft feel. On the shorter clubs I can stop it on a dime, and shape shots easier then even the pro V. Cons: I found the feel to be very sot which doesn't bother me but the combination of the soft feel and the low compression gave it an almost mushy feel. Quality: A high quality two piece golf ball that has a large soft core with a compression in the low 80's. Has a soft Fusablend cover (whatever that means) and a 392 isosahedron dimple array. Review Summary: Great ball. Feel is a little softer then I would like. This would be a great pro V substitute pricewise but especially if you have a slower swing speed. Purchase: I found this ball while playing. I am a junior, so I have to walk when I play. I find hundereds of golf balls. I try almost all new balls that come out. I never pay for golf balls. Pros: I like the soft feel, but it is not a good ball for short game. Very long. Cons: Too lively for wedge play. I can't get much feedback from it. The first hole I played it, I hit a fair drive, and had a three wood to the green. It was 280 to the hole. I normally hit my three wood 250 or so. I hit, and I flew the ball into a bunker, 270 yards away. The distance is outragous. Quality: Good quality, hard to scuff. Nice looks. Review Summary: Way too long for me, too lively on wedge and putter play. It might be better for somone with a low swing speed. On 2002-11-22, C. Moore rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(816)
Purchase: Purchased at a local golf discount store in the SF Bay area for $24.95. This ball is available most everywhere in this area for that price. Pros: This is the straightest ball I have played in 45 years of golf. It is consistent in distance from shot to shot producing very few fliers even from grassy lies. The comments about this ball not spinning are questionable. In my experience this ball stops dead on hard fast greens and will back up on softer carpets. In fact I had a 200 yard shot back up 6 feet on a flat green this week. Sand and lob wedge shots stop on a dime from 40 yards on out. I play with a forged cavity back iron with V grooves except the lob wedge which has a u groove.
This is an outstanding ball in the wind . It produces less side movement of any ball I have used. Little adjustment is necessary except in the strongest wind situations.
I have not found it to be excessively long. My perception is that high drives seem to carry further than other balls. Iron shots and fairway wood shots are the same distance as with the durable high spin balls I've used in the past.
Cons: This ball may be a little too lively on chip shots. The ball does not check on a wedge chip for example. It tends to bounce and roll , rather than bounce, check and roll. Quality: The ball looks like any other Titleist. It does scuff a bit more than some durable cover balls. Review Summary: This is keeper. my only hope si that they will keep this formula for several years. It seems that as soon as one gets used to a new ball it disappears from the market. The companies don't realize that most of us can't hit a 1,000 balls a day to get the feel of a new product quickly. It takes me a couple of months to really get used to a new ball. Purchase: Purchased at Don Sherwood Golf and Tennis for $24.95/doz Pros: The ball has the usual Titleist logo and quality painting and lettering. The first time out with this ball we played a couse in a 20-40 mph wind with fast hard, fast greens. In contrary to other reviews I have read on this ball, I found no trouble spinning and stopping the ball with any club from a 5 wood to LW. I hit a low ball and this one stops as well as the Revolutions I used to play upwind or down wind. Iron shots went the same distances i am used to. Woods carried a bit longer. The noticeable feature of the ball is it is little affected by side winds. Only as the ball falls from its apex does the wind drift it. Cons: The ball seems to be hotter off the putter. I am using a different version of the same model I have used for years, but am suddenly with the NXT hitting some rocks past the hole. I use a very soft putter head--so I am not certain yet how much adjustment is necessary . Oddly, my chips and pitches seem to be a shade shorter. This may be pure fantasy on my part-but I intend to spend a couple of weeks trying to adjust. Quality: The ball is durable, doesn't scuff much and so far in 5 rounds I haven't lost one. Review Summary: I like the straight qualities of the ball in the wind and flight pattern. I play courses with hard, fast greens and this ball stops dead ( it doesn't back up, but hits and stops) I believe it is about 5-10% hot off a slow impact (putter). I will invest some time to see if I can adjust. On 2002-09-22, kris rated this Titleist NXT Tour a 5...(597)
Purchase: im a aussy, i bought this at my local pro shop, i bought it because i saw some ads about them so i decided to give em a go.
i pay 5.50 eack australian for them. Pros: this ball is long there is no doubt about it.
And i have read some revievs on these balls from other people on this web site, and they are all saying they dont spin, and that is crap i can get these balls to stop and spin back on approch shot from just 25 m out, so i dont know what these other girls are on about. Any way i like the distance, the durability is great i played comp with it today and it still looks great, and by the way i won,me and my friend tied but i beat him on the count back so that was good.and the spin is great to but lack a little green side control. Cons: i dont hate anything about it but i wish the ball felt alitle more like the prov1 because itis a little firm, and spin contol around the greens lacks but from 25 m out it is great. Quality: its a two pice titleist ball, its cutproof and it kicks some seriose ass, try it i think u will love it. That is if ur not one of these sissy girls who says they dont get enough spin off em. Purchase: I had not been playing well all season and decided that a change of scenery was needed for my golf game. I had some credit card points burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to go online and purchase a few golf items. One of the items I purchased with the points was a box of Titleist NXT Tour golf balls. The retail cost was $25. Pros: What a difference! My drives were ten to fifteen yards longer than I have achieved with most balls I've tried, and the trajectory was great. The Titleist NXT Tour also had a great soft feel with the irons. The distance with the irons was also a little longer than I had experienced with most balls. Simply stated, I got the distance of a hard two piece ball, while maintaining an acceptably soft feel. Cons: I can't say that I didn't like anything about this golf ball. I can only comment that it doesn't spin like some of the premium (i.e. overpriced) balls available. The NXT balls may not have spun backward but they always held the green for me. Quality: The NXT Tour was very durable. I did not notice much wear after the round. The ball flew just as far on the 18th hole as on the first. I would not hesitate to use the same ball next time I play, and I typically start every round with a new ball. This ball supposedly has the largest core of any two piece ball available. It also has a compression in the low 80's. Review Summary: I don't really understand the technology that goes into these golf balls, but it works. I decided after one round that this is the ball for me, and immediately purchased another dozen to get me through the summer. There are many excellent balls available today. My advice is find the one that works for you. I think that I have finally found the ball that works for me, and believe me, I've tried them all. Purchase: A Pro Shop. At first, twenty bucks a dozen. Now, they're a bit more. Pros: It was time to grow up. Three-piece balls will soon be in only in museums ... plus, the ball I loved (Maxfli Elite) was not being made anymore.
After a few false starts (Strata, Maxfli Rev Solid, etc.) I found a dozen NXT Tours on sale. (This was even BEFORE I saw any commercials with John Cleese. He would've convinced me anyway ...)
Great ball. Straight and long. My hooks are now less hooky. Some could even be categorized as 'draws'.
And these balls have something approaching 'feel' - which is what I loved about the Maxfli Elites (and 3-piece Revs).
I have a high trajectory, so on approach shots the moderate-to-low spin factor is negated. The slick finish on the ball makes it scoot off the putter, and this took a little getting used to. But putts were straight and true.
Cons: On the original run of these balls, there was a very annoying, very large logo that said 'NXT DAY' or something silly. With the 2002 models, it's gone. Now it looks more like a 'serious' ball. Quality: Lasts and lasts. I played a full round with one ball -- washed it, and it looks fine. Review Summary: You give a little, get a little. I'll give up a little 'feel' for straighter shots. Purchase: I purchased a dozen NXT Tours at a local discount golf retailer. $35 can. I was looking for a cheaper version of a prov-1 for spring conditions on the wet-coast (Van.B.C) Where you dont need a ball that spins that much because of the very soft conditions Pros: Immediately I was impressed with distance equal to a prov-1 if not farther. On slight mis-hits less side spin so more carry. A soft feel off the irons and putter and a nice muted sound when struck well, it sounds like a premium ball. Cons: The thing that tells you it is not a premium ball, wedge spin and chipping around greens. The soft feel gives you the feeling it should spin more than it does. It just will not spin as good as the premium balls. A mid to high handicapper will probably never notice or care. But if you are used to a high spin ball like a prov-1 or Nike Tour Accuracy. The lack of bite will leave you wanting more from this ball. Quality: The durability of the NXT Tour was impressive. I played 18 holes with one ball and it only had slight abrasions from hard wedge swings. It also seemed just as consistent on the 18th hole as 1st hole. Review Summary: I have to say I was very happy with the all around performance of the NXT Tour. It is long, accurate, a nice soft feel and very durable. And for the price it is a good substitute for a premium ball when you dont need the spin (wet conditions). But come summer time I am going back to using a prov-1. Purchase: Bought at a golf discount store to try these new balls that have been hyped in commercials. Purchased for $24/doz. Pros: The NXT had great distance off the driver and due to the low spin it went pretty straight also. The soft and thin cover made it a pleasure to putt on the greens. Granted it has been winter golf I imagine it will yield even more distance in warm dry weather and feel softer too. Cons: Distance and feel came at the sacrifice of low spin. Very hard if not impossible to make it stick on the greens. Had to land it short and let it roll to the hole. I realize there is no perfect ball but there are some other balls that have a better combination on distance and spin that I like. I am willing to sacrifice a few yards for a ball with a little more teeth! Quality: Ball materials seem to be durable and of excellent quality for the price. I played an entire round with one ball and it had only minor wear and tear which surprised me with the cover being so soft. Review Summary: Overall I enjoyed playing this ball with it's distance and great feel on the greens. The spin factor turned me off a little but in the right situation these balls will work well. If you play a course where bump and runs are an option and pins are not tucked in a corner I think this ball will do itself proud. If you require drop and stop performance these are not for you.
