Purchase: I found a dozen of them for 20 dollars. I think they were used but were in such good condition I had to give them a whirl. Pros: This is a great all around ball. It travels just as far as any ball off the tee I have played. Also, to me the feel is just right, not too soft, not too hard. Im not good enough to maximize the spin on this ball on iron shots but wedges and this ball were made for each other. Cons: Frankly I dont like that they are no less than $40 anywhere. This is the best ball for me that I have tried but I cant afford it and I dont remember the last time when I lost any ball. Quality: I have played many rounds and the balls look the same. I think the $40 price tag is because these babies dont lose their swagger. Review Summary: Overall this is the best ball I have played with. Good distance and good spin on wedge shots and chips. If I cant afford them I will have to settle with Hogan Hawks which is a great ball for $25.

Purchase: i played my first pro v1x i found when i was looking for my golf ball in the woods. since then been buying the used 1$ balls from the local golf shop. Pros: my swing speed is very fast and this ball claims you have to have a fast swing speed to reap the benefits and i guess it is true. anyway i got to the point where i'm started to play some decent golf and was looking for 1 specific ball to play and found the pro v1x in the woods. my first time hitting it felt like a rocket shooting off my driver on a par 5 that went 290 yards. the feel is not as soft as the pro v, but alot softer then the other high dollar balls. it spins less off the driver and long irons, and still spins around the greens with shorter irons. so if you want less spin, but dont want to sacrifice distance this is it and it is way long. i played in my club tournament on 11/19/05 and i was paired with a 0, 8, 9 handicaps and i out drove them all the whole day (as long as i wasnt in the woods). they didnt even bother checking the ball that was 20-40 yards in front of the rest of the balls. Cons: i dont know what there is not to like. i played the bridgestone tour b330 and that damm thing feels like a rock. i played the callaway hx tour and it still feels firm. softer than the bridgestone, but firmer than the pro v1x. the hx tour is pretty long, but the pro v1x is probably about 5-10 yards longer than it. i also played the pro v1 and i dont recommend using the pro v1 unless you are a scratch handicapper cause it will turn your fade into a slice and draw into a hook. if this ball was as soft as the pro v1 without losing any of its other qualities this ball would be by far the best ball out there. Quality: the qaulity is great, it may scuff but if its from hitting it than its a good thing cause you are striking the ball well. Review Summary: i played many balls, pinnacle gold distance is LONG my 350 yd drive came off it. random nike balls, random titliest balls, random top flite balls, callaway hx tour, pro v1, bridgestone. the fact of the matter is this. if you are playing bad golf you will not be able to tell if the ball is helping you or not. if you are playing solid golf then you can tell right off the club face how good that ball really is. the people out there that are knocking the pro v1/v1x brands are either bias because they are hackers or because of the price. hey if you are hacking then play the cheap balls, if you are a good player but dont want to pay that much, then go to your local golf store and you can buy the used for like a dollar and it is still in very good shape. i cant believe i'm paying a dollar for a ball that looks damm near brand new. Purchase: A month ago I purchase a Ping G2 driver at Corsi's Indoor Golf in Greensburg, PA. The salesman who sold the club suggested a low spin ball such as the Pro V1x to help reduce my slice. A few weeks later I purchased a sleeve of Pro V1x's from The Cloverleaf clubhouse for $13.75. Pros: After hitting several different brands of Golf Balls, I noticed a huge difference in the feel of the Pro V1x's off the club head. My slice has improved and I am able to stick more greens on approach shots. Cons: My only complaint about the golf balls is the price. These balls are great but, I don't recommend playing these balls in the "Bermuda Triangle" style golf courses where golf balls seem to just disappear. At $4.00 to $5.00 a ball I'd save these for more open courses. Quality: Titleist has proven over and over again that they make high quality golf balls. The Soft Urethane cover and the spin-controlling ionomer casing provide and excellent fill with great distance. This is a great game improvement ball. Review Summary: The Titleist Pro V1X golf balls are simply a pleasure to use. They have improved my drive and I feel more confident at Tee Off. The excellent control on and around the green has also lower my scores by 2 or 3 strokes. I definitely suggest you try these balls at least once and then decide if the price is right for the improvement you'll notice. On 2005-07-10, golf man rated this Titleist Pro V1X a 3...(5835)
Purchase: ive purchased a dozen of these online for 42 dollars. Pros: i like the long distance and good feel off the driver especially. it really springs off the driver clubface. Cons: it doesnt spin AT ALL around the greens. the pro v1 is the better performing that this ball. im sticking with the pro v1. Quality: the cover tears very easily. one hit off a tree or cartpath and this ball is done for. the pro v1 isnt great about this either but this ball is by far the most tearable titleist golf ball. Review Summary: i really liked the feel off the clubface with this ball but it didnt perform well enough around or on the green. if u like distance and are a good player this ball is for you if you have a fat wallet. it tears very easily. im sticking with the pro v1 for better greenside performance. Purchase: I purchased a dozen from a local shop for 42.00. I had tried the Pro V1 a liked it, so I thought I would give the X a go. It was not what I was expecting. Pros: There is little to like about the Pro V1X. The distance is great and that is about it. Cons: To start with, the trajectory is terrible. It has a flat line flight pattern, which I did not like. I found the ball, for all the distance, very hard to control. The Pro V1 seemed to carry a little more for me and was much more acurrate from tee to green. The V1X doesn't just have less spin, but no spin at all. Working the greens was like fighting the ball all day. I played a sleeve for 18 holes and traded the rest of the dozen as quick as I could. Quality: The ball scuffed fairly easy from just being hit with the clubs. Not the quality product I'm used to from Titleist. However, I only used them for 18 holes. It was a high price to pay for a ball I did not like. Review Summary: If you like a long, but low shot that's very hard to control, maybe this ball is for you. There was nothing that really impressed me in the Pro V1X. It's a whole lot of money for a whole lot of hype. Try the Precept U-Tri Tour it is everything that the V1X should be and more for less $$$. Purchase: I used to play the Pro V1 in south of France and enjoyed its spin. I competed for fun with one of my friends who is a british pro using the pro v1 x and I kicked his ass with my pro v 1. He told me he preferred the x version and gave me one ball. When I came back in Oregon, I bought one dozen for $36.99 without tax to try them. Pros: The spin is still here plus the distance. I have a very high speed swing and my drives are perfect always in the middle of the fairway. I used to play 2 weeks a year only around hcp8 or hcp10. Now since I switched to that ball, I play between hcp 0 to 5!!!!! I love so much that ball that now I play 2 times a week and bought brand new equiments. Those balls are excelent with blades irons. Cons: As I live between Oregon and France, those balls are good in winter. I think that next summer, I'll switch again for the black pro v1 as they are more precise on very short game and offer me mor spin. About the price I do not complain as they are sold 56 euros a dozen and I have good deals here in Oregon ($36 normal,$40 a dozen with my name). Quality: I like the 3 piece ball construction such as the tour balata, the tour prestige or the professional. This ball is differently built like the new generation, but unlike the bridgestones or maxfly I really feel what I hit. Yes it scuffs but good iron players scuff their balls. It is good for putting too, you gain a lot of stupid points. Review Summary: This ball should have been named heroine not x as you become addicted to it and considered as a hero! Purchase: I was looking for some good durable golf balls and when I went into the pro shop at Links At Montague, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I saw the Titleist Pro V1x's and I remember'd that my friend had told me that they were the best ball he has ever played, so I bought a sleeve and I tried them out for $19.99 and I loved them. They were so great for landing them on the greens on a short par 3. The Titleist Pro V1x's are definatly the best golf ball I have ever played! Pros: The durability, the softness and the way it springs off of the clubface. The Titleist Pro V1x's have less spin which makes it go farther off of the clubface. The titleist Pro V1x's go a lot farther than any other golf ball I've played! Cons: There Is Nothing I don't like about the Titleist Pro V1x's. Quality: The Titleist Pro Vix's have a dual core that delivers extremely low spin and very high speed off of the clubface. The Titleist Pro V1x's also have a very soft and thin urethane cover and a new 332 multi-dimple high coverage icosaheral Design.
Review Summary: I think that the Titleist Pro V1x's are the best Ball I've ever played! I think that if anyone played it they would think so too. On 2003-11-13, TripleA rated this Titleist Pro V1x a 5...(2542)
Purchase: Purchased 2 dozen from Golfdom Golf for $30
bones along with Titleist 975LFE 7.5*
(Nice to have friends in the right places, knowing the owner helps a bit) Pros: Exceptional length off the Tee.
Effects from wind is non-existent, cuts right through.
This ball will really help you lower your HCap with your irons, total distance from long irons can be appreciated.
Unbeatable feel of the face of any club. This ball will stop on ICE if you desire.
You will get total feel on the flat stick and hugs your read to the cup well.
Definition of this ball: "BUTTA"
If you play golf with %90 of your mind, you better devote the other %10 to feel.
This ball will allow you to "almost" place the ball where you want it based on the extreme amount of feedback it delivers!
Tremendously better over initial ProV1 predecessor. Cons: Please provide the next ProV1/V1x with a cleaner cover. These balls look as though I've tee'd up an egg. What is up with EGG SHELL WHITE!! I yell "FOWL" Quality: Lifespan is a definite 5 to 6 rounds before it becomes a dog toy.
Such a dismal end to a high quality piece.
Do't be afraid to buy used ProV's.
you will still get 3 or 4 rounds more than those other well dressed ROCKS they call golf balls. Review Summary: If you dig your ProV's and are looking for something cheaper with similar characteristics, snag the MaxFli Noodle "Spin", New Callaway HX Tour(Black Box)or the Nike One TW.
In all;
Price per box is well worth the improvments you will get on the track.
Anti up ya'll....you have got to pay to play!!

Purchase: I got a sleeve of these balls at my local club. I paid 10 dollars for the sleeve. Pros: I liked the original Pro V1, but I wanted to try the X just to see. What a difference! The Pro V1X is a tad firmer than its sibling. Although it is firmer it isn't a rock by any means. Great distance and roll off of the driver and long irons, also the same performance around the greens. Cons: The cover of the ball is very easy to scuff. Each time I hit a tree or a wedge shot, a little bit of the cover wears, but otherwise no complaints. Quality: Very high quality golf ball. The ball is well worth thorowing down the 50 dollars for the dozen if you want the performance gains. Review Summary: Solid golf ball, very long, yet very responsive. How does Titleist do it?? Purchase: I bought this ball at Golf Discount of Chicago for $34.99 a dozen. Most of the GOLF stores I visited, had the exact same price for the Titleist Pro V 1 X. Don't pay any more than that..... Pros: The Pro V 1 X is long off the tee. It does not spin anywhere near as much as, the regular Pro V 1. It is a great ball to play in windy conditions. The cover is unbelievably durable. (not like the regular Pro V1 or Nike's Tour Accuracy) Your slices, will not be as bad, with this ball. Cons: Nothing Quality: Great looking golf ball. Review Summary: If you want a golf ball that flies long and has some feel. If you want a golf ball that spins less. If you want a durable cover on a golf ball. The Pro V1 X is the golf ball for you. But shop around for a good price. Don't pay $40 plus for a dozen. On 2003-03-31, Lefty rated this Titleist Pro V1X a 5...(1057)
Purchase: Bought on the internet, edwinwatts.com, for $49/dozen. I wanted to try the ball since it was a Titleist and it had great success already on tour. Pros: This ball is very long. It doesn't spin as much as the ProV1* or ProV1, therefore adding distance off the driver, with more roll. However, with the shorter irons, it still "drop and stops." One recommendation though, if you are a slow-paced swinger of the golf club, this may not be the ball for you. The ProV1x is designed for the highest swing speeds, and it exerts its full potential when you flat out whack it. Cons: Nothing. It's a Titleist. #1 ball in golf. Quality: Titleist goes back to the red numbering on its ProV1x golf balls, unlike the black plain look of the original proV1/proV1*. Great Quality and Durability. Will last through alot of rounds, even if it hits the trees and the cart paths. Review Summary: The better player will really enjoy this ball and may see differences in length and accuracy due to the low spin rate. You can still work this ball either way and stop it on a dime. A great ball once again by the geniuses at Titleist.
