Purchase: To buy thi, i paid about $430 at my local public golf course. I took the driver to demo on the range and i fell in love with it, went home that day with a new driver in my bag. Pros: this drive is great, it has a good size to it, and it is pretty light, the feel of this driver is a very soft one, i have hit 300 yard shot and it only felt like it went 250, this driver has the distance and control that all players search for. Cons: the onl problem that i have with this driver is the stock grip, i have put winn gripi on it so that is no longer an issue Quality: This clubwas built very well, it has a grey top to it with a silver belly, it is very attractive lol, the qaulity is outstanding never have a had a driver that performs like this one Review Summary: I would just like to say that this is a great driver and i love it

Purchase: Bought at Falls Road GC, Potomac Maryland, July 2002. Price = 380 USD
I bought this driver because I had heard it was good, and after trying it a couple of times, comparing it with others, the decision was EASY.. Pros: The 975 J was an enormous inprovement from my last driver... A Taylor Made burner Bubble. It felt like the sweetspot was bigger than the driver itself. My poor shots were a lot better with my 975 Baby !!
The shaft that came with the club was also an incredible improvement from my last Bubble shaft (which sucks by the way). The tourque was a lot stiffer and I can feel the club through the entire swing !! MY KIND OF CLUB !! Cons: There is nothing I would improve on the club. Since it is "only" 315 cubic inches, it's not as long as the new drivers, but I would sacrifice 10 yards any day for stability !! Quality: My titanium driver is the most durable driver I've ever had. I've never had problems with any Titleist clubs and I don't expect this driver to be an exception. My 975 J is just perfectly constructed and has exeptional quality !! Review Summary: If you're looking for an exceptional driver, and you feel that the new "big and bad" ones are to expensive, the 975J could be your dream driver, as it has become my !
If you're not convinced, take it out for a try!! You'll find yourself lost in the world I call "the Titleist world" ! Good luck !! On 2003-09-23, Lars rated this Titleist 975 J a 5...(2363)
