Purchase: I picked this club up about 3/4 years ago. Even at that stage it was a bargain second hand. Now they are almost giving them away on ebay.
Pros: The feedback from the strike is so much better than with newer clubs. You can tell imediately where you've hit the ball on the clubface. Very rewarding feeling when middled and fairly forgiving on off-centre hits. The shaft has been given a bad rap from many, but I prefer it to the newer True Temper EI-70 version which wasn't stiff enough when I've used it in the past. Have recently tried Cleveland Launcher, GBB II and TaylorMade 580XD and not been able to control the flight consistently with them or "feel" the strike.
Cons: Undoubtedly you give up yardage using an older driver like this but the consistent flight and strike are difficult to beat.
Quality: Excellent quality. Still using the original shaft, grip and even headcover and they must be at least 6 years old by now.

Review Summary: I'm on the lookout for something more modern to compete with this on feel but add some length. I haven't found it yet and have been looking for a long time. Easy to see why Tiger reverted to it when in difficulty. Will always retain at least a back up position in my bag. A club for low handicap players looking for control rather than distance.
