Purchase: Brought it at a local golf store, I was shopping for a driver to replace my good old Big Bertha Steelhead Plus. I was looking for something more forgiving and added distance. I compared the 975J, 975L-FE as well as Taylor Made 540 Unfortunately 540 is now non-conforming and i didn't want to wait till the new one out.
Pros: I preferred the smaller head compared to the L-FE and 540. If you hit the sweet spot on this puppy, it jump off and flies! Compared to my old steel head, i'm avg 20 to 30 yards more because it is a little more forgiving and the sweet spot is larger, hotter. More consistent, control draws
Cons: I hit longer with this club then the 975J avg 10 yards+, but this club is not as workable as the 975J (good news for high handicap slicers) However, i recommend learning and playing the draw with this club as it is designed for it. I found it very difficult to obtain a controlled fade.... Really interesting slice if it was a mishit, looks like 100 yard straight and just takes a 90 degree dive.
Quality: so far so good

Review Summary: anyone who is interested in learning how to draw the ball (especially to get rid of that nasty banana slice) this club is a great club for it. otherwise the 975L-FE is a better choice
