Purchase: I purchased this because my current driver was too old and not long enough off the tee. I paid a little for this driver $100. which isn't a lot to you big spenders but when my weekly income is 30$ it tends to be a little bit. I purchased it at 2nd swing golf. Pros: Great Driver, I knew it was the one for me when i hit it in the store. I've heard you hit a bit of a fade but i don't perticularly care. VERY far off the tee. Don't care about the 905s or t, this is the driver for me. Cons: Not much at all. Quality: Great stock shaft, wonderful driver all around, large face easy to hit and what an improvement over the 975D. Review Summary: GO GET IT NOW...unless you don't want a solid game

Purchase: I purchased this driver 2 weeks ago in E. Rochester NY from Big Oak Pro Shop. Pros: Used to play a 975D when then first came out but found out it was just to much for me. So I demo'd this driver(975L-FE). I actually demo'd the two drivers of this model they had left on the rack. This one being 10.5deg with a stiff flex Pro Lite shaft and the second a reg. flex Pro Lite shaft in 9.5deg.
The golf pro taped both up for me, gave me a bucket of balls and I had at them in the fitting/hitting area. Shortly after warming up and starting with the reg. flex hitting it he came out with a swing speed indicator and it showed my swing to be consistently 95-98 mph. A hard swing which he asked me to do a couple of times was up around 105mph. That is not my stock swing though. I found the stiff flex to be extremely stable for me. Indicated by a nice single dot on the impact tape. The reg. flex was just boingy for me. I guess you could call it club head osciallation.
To make a long story short I hit the 10.5 deg. stiff shaft over the fence after being warmed up 3 out of 5 balls, with the first 5 swings with this particular driver. A very slight fade, maybe 5-10 yds. The distance to the back fence of the driving range is from what I understand about 40 feet tall and 235-240 yds away! This is with the 95-98 mph swing speed. Now I have demo'd countless drivers there from nib to used, stock OEM to component drivers and I have never in my life hit a ball consitently that far in my life with such a solid feeling driver. So I had him put the driver right then on lay away for me. I figured it could have been the newness thing for me. Went back a week later and did the same thing! Consistently over the fence. Matter of fact another Pro Shop employee happened by at this range session and asked me to tone it down a bit as there is a development being started back there. So I bought it for 200 bucks. Best thing I think I have ever done for my game. I love this thing. Cons: I don't care for the Titelist grip and may change it to the Winn excel #6 that I play normally on all my clubs. But I figure if it is working the way it is now why change a good thing. The old adage if ain't broke don't fix it. I like the stock shaft in it too. It is the Pro Lite 60 grams stiff model. Quality: Quality is first rate. Everything nice and tight on the head. Extremely stable on impact with what I call no boinging on off center hits. You know on a toe hit you can feel the head osciallte in your hands a bit. The lettering on the bottom of the head shows no over runs or wavy lines etc. Looks professional! Best of all is that for me this driver inspires confidence which is paramount to anyone playing this game. Review Summary: I have finally found my driver and will play this until the cows come home. It is absolutely first rate in design, form, and function. How could anyone not like this club is beyond me. I find that if I hood the club just slightly and aim slightly right of the target I hit a nice draw albeit not quite as high but with alot of roll out. I like the way the club head looks at address, I like the way it feels on impact, and most of all I like being in control of the shot. This driver does this for me. thanks On 2003-10-03, Anonymous rated this Titleist 975L-FE a 5...(2443)
Purchase: I bought this driver barely used on ebay for $103!!!! What a deal. I bought this driver becuase I had a Mizuno T-zoid and I just need a quality club that I could hit well. Pros: I like that I can control this club with the greatest of ease, I can draw or fade the ball when I want to. Cons: well it's not the clubhead, but the shaft I recieved with this club was kinda crappy, it was a Rapport HyperFlex Tour. Quality: Very high quality driver, despite the shaft but well built Review Summary: more than happy I bought this driver, was worth all $103!!! Purchase: I purchased the driver on Ebay for $125.00. It had a couple of skymarks on the crown but that was no concern to me. I have tried Ping, Nike, Taylor Made and Callaway with little success of consistency that I was looking for. I read some reviews that the 975L-FE had a higher launch and would go straight. Pros: The driver has provided with a higher launch that all the other drivers I tried. I usually drive the ball on a very low trajectory. The 975L-FE provided a medium trajectory. I have played 10 rounds with the driver and rarely miss the target line. I have noticed that I have gained 20 yards per drive because the ball stays on line. My average drive is 270 yards. Cons: I have found anything to dislike about the driver. Quality: It has the traditional Titleist pear shape contsrtuction with a 350CC head. The driver sets up well when you prepare to hit it. I also have the YS6 stiff graphite shaft. The driver feels a bit heavier than the other drivers I have used. Review Summary: If you want to be bored by hitting the ball straight then you purchase this club. It will help speed up play because balls in the fairway are not hard to find. Purchase: I paid £200 for my driver from my local store, Marshalls. Pros: It is made by titleist. that is all other than potential babes. Cons: at first, my swing did not change, then, after about 1 week, it had me doin the over the top move, it was rubbish. Ok, the distance was nice, but, it was so difficult to hit straight. Quality: Sweet Review Summary: Dont buy it, get the 983 series instead. On 2002-10-21, rileydog rated this Titleist 975L-FE a 5...(700)
Purchase: A friend of mine owned this driver and didn't have real good luck with it so he sold it to me for $250. I bought it because I hook the ball and this club is designed to prevent that. Pros: I like the club because it does drive the ball pretty straight. I have hit some career long drives at my home course but most importantly it finds the fairway most of the time. It has a bigger head that sets up well at address. I can still maneuver it either way though if needed. Cons: The sound could be better as it doesn't have that well hit metallic sound that so many clubs have. It sort of thwacks when hit well. If you set it up square I can still hook it. I must set up with a slightly open clubface. Quality: The club is put together very well with top notch components (titanium head, graphite shaft, cord grip). Titleist quality almost goes without saying. Review Summary: I would highly recommend this club to anyone. You can fade it, draw it, or just hit it string straight. Like most quality clubs out there today it is not cheap but I am hitting more fairways than I ever have before with this club. This is the same club that Sergio Garcia was playing and bombing it. He has since switched to Taylor Made and I predict he will be sorry he changed brands.
