Purchase: I have played the 975J and JVS. Loved the 975J and the JVS was almost as good, but limited ball movement. I drive the 975J about 240-260 yds. The 983E I bought on ebay 3/1/05 for $160. It is absolutely true that it goes farther. My numbers show me 260-275 and you know what? At 53 years of age I can still kill this driver about 285 yds. There have been several changes to drivers over the years . I averaged 250 yds with wood drivers, 260 with metal drivers and was able to maintain my distance with titanium and better shafts. With this club I have been able to extend my distance. I believe it has to do with two things, the excellent technology of the 983E with low launch and low spin and also that the 757 speeder fits my 96-102 mph swing speed. If you don't have a 92 plus swing speed be warned, you may not like the resulting low pulls.
Pros: Great looks, too big, smaller than the 983K.
Cons: I don't know!
Quality: Excellent construction and beautiful lines.

Review Summary: This driver in either the 983E or 983K with the right shaft will help any golfer of any ability play better. Just my opinion.
