Purchase: I was looking to replace my aging Ping TISI driver(which I could never hit straight). So I went over to Golf Galaxy to to find a new boom stick. I demoed all the current competition, Cobra, TM, GBB, Adams and Nike. I didn't like the feel of any of those clubs. I finally decided to try the 983K (based on reviews on the page) paid 369.00 USD,
Pros: My first experience with this driver was at a golf outing and I must say WOW! this club is awesome. I was hitting drives like I have never before (straight, draw, fade on command) and long (avg. 275 to 290) I now look forward to using the driver and not saying ok, just get the 3 wood out (ant not to over swing this time).
Cons: There are really no negatives with this club (thought it is easy to hit a bad hook or pull if you get lay with your swing). As others have said here try out different shaft conbinations (I tried to this the Graffloy, Speeder and YS-7 and none felt or hit bettere than the YS-6 for me).
Quality: Grad A, top quality. The Grey on Grey (shaft & clubhead looks awesome) This club just feels and looks good. I rated this club a 5 (there is a reason it's expensive QUALITY!)

Review Summary: If you are in the market for a new WMD (weapon of mass destruction) you should take a look at the 983K. Though remember (no club is magic) as with any club if you have bad fundmentals this club could make things worse but if you have a good solid swing IMHO theres nothing better.
