Purchase: Regional tourny season is almost here, so I was looking for a back-up driver for my 8.5 975L-FE. So I called the Titleist Rep. and we talked a bit and he sent me a 983K 8.5 with the YS-6. He said if I liked it I could send him $225, or if not I could send back the driver and we would try something else. Well, to make a short story, my L-FE is now the back-up for the 983. I had the L-FE because to me it was the most workable and longest driver I had found. Well, now it the second longest and most workable. I estimate that I hit the 983k around 10-15 yds further than the L-FE with no loss in workability. And the miss hits are just unbelievabley good. I have hit many drivers over the years, and this one is by far the best.
Pros: The head doesn't look too big, it is highley workable, distance is excellent, forgiveness is surprisingly high.
Cons: The headcover is a bit over-the-top, but they said they were sending a black and white Titleist headcover.
Quality: Typical Titleist quality, first rate.

Review Summary: This driver offers the best of both worlds with no sacrifices. Great workability, superior distance, and very forgiving on mis-hits.
