Purchase: I had a Ping ISI 2 with a with a 46.5 inc ATR 65 red shaft, reg flex. That I traded straight across for this club. The original owner was having trouble hitting the club and was on his 3rd shaft. I let him hit my Ping for 9 holes, and I played the 983k for nine holes. He wanted to trade straight across. It did'nt take me long to make up my mind.
Pros: The distance It easily put 25 yards on my drive after I put in the same shaft that I had In my Ping. I was fitted for the shaft at Golf Smith. But had a local club fitter put It in the new club. And then bang!!! Before my drive was about 260, now 285 to 290 is average. The guy with the Ping Is happy. But he always has to hit first in the fairway and we play golf all the time.
Cons: Can't think of anything but the sound. When you hit a sweet shot It don't ring like most just a deep thud.
Quality: Nice pear shape head easy to read for control off the tee

Review Summary: I have been to demo days in El Cahon California Singing Hills Golf Resort. And hit all the big gun drivers. The 983k is a rifle the rest are pistols
