Purchase: I purchased my driver on e-bay for 319.00. Everywhere else companies are asking 399.00 so I suggest people check the auctions out. I purchased the 983k because I had heard so many good things about it and my friends kept saying if you dont have the latest clubs, your hitting old technology. They couldnt be more right!
Pros: There is nothing about this club a golfer wouldnt like! Its nice to look at durring setup. I would guess about 1-2 degrees closed. It has a bit of a flatter face than the old 975j I had previously. But looks doesnt sell clubs performance does! This baby performs. Its hands down the longest driver Ive ever hit and Ive hit a lot of them! I have about a 115-120 swing speed and I prefer a softer flex shaft. I have hit the 9.5 with a grafalloy stiff. It was early in the morning and I wasnt really puting a good swing on the ball but I new immediately from the first few hits this thing is long. I played 18 holes with it and had excellent results, hitting consistant drives as far as my record drives from years past. Today I grabbed a 10.5 with the stock Titleist 4560 R shaft "I hope I got the number right" This club was also an absolute blast to play! I know I shouldnt be playing a regular shaft with a 10.5 loft but like many regular shafted 3 woods I have hit off the tee, there just so much fun when you go for the fence and put a terrible swing on the ball only to be rewarded by the perfect draw. I am in love! I also build and fix clubs, so Im always reshafting looking for the perfect setup, until now. I dont think a person could hurt the performance of this club no matter what shaft is in it. This is the finest peice of equipment I have ever used. My driver search has ended!
Cons:
Quality: Top notch!, Top notch!
Review Summary: If your not hitting a new Titleist, your playing behind someone who is!
