Purchase: I bought a dozen brand new for 20 bucks. I got them cheap because they are company balls for a local tourney and have logos on the side.
Pros: Where to start. To me this is the best ball I have ever played. It provides so much spin around the green I couldnt ask for more. Being such a good spin ball, it is still up there with most distance balls. A few yards off the tee is worth the control on the green. I like how Titleist made the 2004 version a brighter white than the first model. I also like how you can easily identify the V1 and the V1x by the numbering.
Cons: There isnt anything worth making a complaint. If I could find something it would be the retail price of the ball, but I can always get good deals.
Quality: Improved shading of the ball. The ball also lasts more holes than its predecessors.

Review Summary: Great ball. It really is worth the high price. If you dont hit many greens maybe you can find a cheaper ball that is good all around such as Ben Hogan Hawk or Precept U Tri Tour 25-30$. If you can get a reasonable deal, despite what your handicap, you should at least give this one a try.
