Purchase: Ebay, $69.99 brand new w/ cover. Couldn't pass it up at this price. I wanted to go with a steel-shafted 3 wood for greater control.
Pros: Handicap: 7 Swing Speed: 110 Age: 29 This is a solid-feeling club. I liked it so much I purchased the 983K driver. The shorter (42.5") shaft is really easy to control, and the heavier weight of the steel shaft gives me good feedback about the club's position in my backswing. This club is very easy to work either direction. It is very easy to get the ball in the air with it. The smaller head was a little visually intimidating at first, but it turned out to be very easy to put a good swing on the ball.
Cons: Small thing. The Titleist cord grips are very rough. I use Lamkin Crossline cords, and these are much more abrasive.
Quality: Titleist woods are about the best I have used as far as appearance and quality of construction.

Review Summary: Very high quality, solid-feeling 3 wood. The smaller head looks like it would be tough to hit at first, but this club is appropriate for low to mid handicappers, no problem. The ball flight is very strong, yet it is easy to get it in the air. I highly recommend it. Ebay is the place to get one for a steal right now being the new Titleist FW woods are being introduced this spring.
