Purchase: I bought this set off of ebay for $380. This included 4-PW 690.CB, 22 degree titleist 503H, and 56 degree vokey wedge. This was barely used whereas these clubs new would be around $900. Pros: This set provides great playability and feel without giving up forgivingness. The grips are very nice as are the shafts. They provide a very nice look, very traditional and clean looking. These irons provide confidence every time you set up to the ball. Unlike someplayable irons where the long irons look intimidating, these remain confidence building. Also I gained about 5-10 yds from my other set. But most improtant is the feel. These clubs are so responsive and they really let you know when you've hit a good shot. Cons: These clubs, being forged, nick and scratch very easily. Quality: This set was constructed very nicely. Although they scratch very easily that's expected when being a forged club. Review Summary: This is a great set. It's very expensive but if you look hard enough (ebay) you can find an amazing deal.

Purchase: I bought a set of these irons from a well known internet company after spending a long time researching on the net. They were second hand but in very good condition, as they had only been used on a drving range. They looked new. I bought the first generation irons after reading reviews, one even on this site. The first generation irons also proved to be much cheaper especially as I am still a student. Pros: I initially wanted full muscle backs as I love the feel you get from a well struck shot. The lower, more boring trajectory is also something I was looking for. The mid to short irons of the full muscle backs were beautiful. The long irons on the other hand required my 'A' game striking to get good results. Many people don't really use thier long irons in favour of fairway woods but I love to use the lower 2 and 3 irons as I get better trajectory control.
These irons are superb. They feel amazing. The heads feel much heavier than any other club I have tried and I find this gives me more rhythm in my swing, although it takes some getting used to. The long irons aren't as thin as blades but still look much thinner with less offset than many of todays game improvement irons. They are classic and classy. I now find it easy to hit high soft shots with these long irons as well as low, piercing shots with alot of run.
The short irons are also great. The heavy heads give you a feeling of great control. Quick stopping high shots and lower running shots into greens are just some of the shots you are able to hit with these great clubs. Cons: No dislike about this club. The first time out i got my first win in a competition playing well under my handicap due to the control I got into the greens.
If I was to be really picky, the short irons could be thiiner and have less of a cavity but this would just be for aesthetic reasons. They fell and play like blades with addedhelp in the long irons fro the odd bad day. Quality: Look Great
Feel Amazing
Play Beautifully
Superb quality. Very well made. Review Summary: I love hitting short irons into the greens as I also like hitting low boring shots of the tee with the long irons. Anyone looking for blades with a bit of forgivness should definitly consider these. I was looking at Pro- Combo sets but this better. Combo sets may look better but these feel like real blades and are very workable.
