Purchase: Bought the irons used off of a customer for 300 dollars Pros: Best irons I have ever hit. Very solid on all clubs, and ball flight is very consistant. I've hit Mizuno blades and have found them to feel very "head heavy." Also tried Mac Greggor irons and Nike. Titleist makes a great product and if I had the money I'd buy another set as a back up. Cons: Nothing at all, you shouldn't be rewarded for a bad swing which is why I play blades. Bad swings equal bad shots. Quality: Great condition Review Summary: If you're a golfer who wants to step up to the next level and play blades, seriously consider the Titleist 690MB. They aren't as small as you'd think or compared to sister styles (680 and 670 butter-knives) and are very solid. I've been in the golf business for the better part of 9 years and have tried most of the clubs that are out. I can honestly say these are the best feeling blades you can buy.

Purchase: $799 at Golfsmith. I was ready to take the next step in improving my game with a club which requires more concentration or focus on the shot.
Pros: Played Ping ISI for at least 8 Years. Play to a 12 handicap. While your handicap maybe an indication of how well you might hit the 690's, be careful because I believe you should be a good ball striker to play these clubs. In other words, I feel I'm a good iron player but don't particularly have a good short game hence my 12 Handicap. With that said, the 690.MB is a special club. The look over the ball gives you a better alignment and its sleek topline is just perfect allowing you to focus on a ball with minimal offset. When you hit it Flush, it's an "Oh....Baby feeling!"
Your ball flight will or should be lower than a cast club and the 3 iron more difficult to land softly....unless your swing speed is 90 or higher. If not, perhaps a regular shaft would be the best selection for this club. I feel my accuracy is as good or better with the 690's than my old Ping ISI clubs and I can now produce a fade better than with the ISI's. Cons: Could'nt purchase the 690.MB PW through 5 iron and purchase the 690.CB 4 and 3 iron Cavity back. In other words I would have liked to buy a set which is a little more forgiving in the higher # Clubs. I think even very good players have problems hitting the 3 iron consistently achieving desired distance and accuracy.
I'm a little fearful hitting the 3 or 4 at 200 plus yard over a hazard. Quality: Quality is second to none Review Summary: Great Clubs which will make you a better player if your committed to playing/practicing at least 2-3 times a week.
Not for the one time a week player
Very good look and set up
I feel I can get through the long grass easier and hit these clubs about the same distance.
I highly recommend this club. Don't give up on them as you will learn to hit them well.

Went to the range yesterday to practice. Took the new 9.5* driver to test it out. I hit it a lot better than I figured I would with that factory insta
