Purchase: I had to get new clubs because my old irons were stolen at a public course. I had ping g2 peices of crap!!! i hit them well but they had such a shut club face look. anyway I received a homeowners insurance check and recently had bought these used 690 cb's for only 299.99 bucks and they were in great condition. i got these clubs because i was sick of cavity's and casted clubs. before i bought these i was looking at the ben hogan ftx combo set but it was a little out of my proce range
Pros: These 690 cb's are one of the best feeling clubs i have hit in a loing time. There are only two sets of clubs i would rather have and they are the titleist 735cm and the ben hogan ftx. All of these clubs have great feel and a great desighn tha gives me confidence when i address the ball.
Cons: There is only one thing that i would like to change i think it would be preferable if they were a combo set because i would like to be able to work the ball more with the short irons.
Quality: I think that these clubs were some of the most beautiful consructed clubs along with the 735's. They have very durability so far i think i will have these for a while or at least till i make enough to buy the 735's

Review Summary: I would never say to buy any titleist clubs for any beginner golfer even the 704 os they are still very much harder to hit than any adams, taylor made, ping or cobra.

Purchase: Purchased at Golf Discount of Chicago for $790.00. I know a guy there very well who set me up with these wonderful clubs.
Pros: Well, all I can say is, WOW!! These are truly special irons. They are beautiful to look at and an absolute joy to play. I play off an 8 handicap and just wish I had more time to play. The job keeps getting in the way. There is no feeling like a well hit, flushed golf shot. Only one thing feels better and that is a well hit, flushed golf shot utilizing a forged club. Everyone should have the experience of catching one flush using this club. Once you do, that's it. You will be hooked. This club makes you a better golfer because it makes you want to recreate that feeling over and over again. Every club is an absolute joy to play. The scoring irons, 8-PW, are very easy to hit and instill instance confidence. The 3 and 4 irons are wonderful to play as well. I can hit these clubs consistently. The 5-7 are just as sweet. Take it from me, these clubs are worth their weight in gold. I would like to clarify that I am playing the 2002 model and not the redesigned 2003 model. I prefer the 2002 model as I get better shot consistency through the set. I tried the 2003 model and found the scoring clubs do not have the same feel. I realize that is a personal preference.
Cons: Absolutely nothing at all. There is not one single item that I do not like about these irons.
Quality: What can you say, they are Titleist's. Absolutely first rate construction. These clubs will last a life time and even longer if you take care of them properly. I will admit I am anal when it comes to the care of my clubs. They are wahsed at the end of every round, and I use Club Gloves for each iron. These clubs still look like new after 20 rounds already.

Review Summary: The bottom line is simple. If you are looking for a new set of clubs and are a fairly decent golfer, do yourself a favor and purchase a set of these beauties. You will be glad you did!! Every time you flush one, you will think of me. I guarantee it!!!

Purchase: I got these irons from a discount golf shop that still offers customized fitting services for $900. I have been playing with an old set of Wilson Staff's and was in need of upgrading.
Pros: I love everything about these clubs. I tried about everything out there and these have as good a feel as anything I've hit. They also offer more forgiveness than I expected. These best thing about these clubs is the look though. They are the sharpest looking club on the market right now. They look and feel like a true player's club, but still have the forgiveness that a mid handicapper like me needs.
Cons: They are fairly hard to find since they were only produced in limited quantities, which makes them a little on the expensive side as well.
Quality: The quality of these clubs is second to none. The feel of a forged club is something that every golfer should experience. The full cord grips are great too.

Review Summary: These are the best clubs that I have ever hit. I am a mid handicapper and can still hit these with incredible consistency. If you thought that forged clubs were only for low handicappers try these and you will be amazed. It is an incredible mix workability and forgiveness blended flawlessly into one. I would recommend these to anyone, unless I am playing against you of course.
