On 2006-10-12, Vegin Dhiravegin rated this Titleist 731pm a 4...(7469)

Details: 3-pw Progressive Blade. Dynamic gold S300 shafts The loft seems to be less than standard irons on every club as preferred by Phil Mickelson

Purchase: I bought it in 2002 at an offical golf dealer in Bangkok Paid 38,000 Baht ( 950 USD).
Pros: Length of all irons. My normal distance for a 7 iron is 160 yards. With the 731pm, I hit it 170 yards with a smooth and easy swing.Easy to gain extra distance when needed.I've hit irons really long on par 5 second shots when needed a high carry to the green220 yds hard 5 iron , 180 yds hard 9 down windVery good for natural draw shots.
Cons: Poor workability on fade and slice shots.Difficult for High fade shots due to it's slight offset. Not forgiving for long irons 3-5
Quality: easily scratched

Review Summary: Very good set of irons overall aside from poor workability on fade shots. Had 2 eagles on par 4's with them (within 40 rounds Span) I had around 15 eagle putts on par 5's ( converting 2)

On 2006-01-24, The Guy With 731pm rated this Titleist 731PM a 5...(6628)

Details: 3 Iron-Pitching Wedge, Players Blade Style, Combos- 3-5 Cavity Back 5-PW Muscle Back, Comes with Titleist Cord Grips, No Offset, True Temper S300 Shafts (not graphite), Standard Loft, Stainless Steel, Limited Edition Irons, limited quantities made **ONLY AVAILALE IN LEFT HAND (as Phil Mickleson /PM\ is a lefty)

Purchase: I aquired these Irons through a trade in. Series one RAC Lt's extra money for 731pm's regripped with Golf Pride Composite Grips (red/back) I purchased them from my local proshop named Bob Martin's Golf and Apparel. These Irons retail for 1299.99 tax Canadian.
Pros: Great Players Clubs, Very Workable, Great out of rough, Visually Appealing, Creates confidence through the Titleist name, Sweet Spot when struck is unbelievable, **Righties can't buy 'em, so it annoys players in your group that are envious.
Cons: Unforgiving, Price tag, Rarity for potential buyers
Quality: Cast Stainless Steel, No flaws upon purchase, Quality as expected from Titleist

Review Summary: Bottom Line - If you are a left handed golfer who seeks a set of responsive players irons -these are for you (if you can find a set) The cost may turn potential buyers away, but used they are much more affordable.
