Purchase: Bought this putter from a friend who couldn't get on with it. Cost me £70. Pros: The balance of this putter is second to none with craftsmenship to match, just as you would expect from a scotty product. The feel off the face is just beautiful with a quality ball, although I noticed it can get scuffed and marked easily because of the soft material used so I'll keep using my old ping anser on those sanded winter greens! Cons: The only thing I can find fault with this putter is that it is so damn big, especially with the headcover on. It takes up more room in my carrybag than my driver! Quality: Second to none. Review Summary: These putters arent cheap brand new, but if you want quality you have to pay for it. I was just lucky to get it that cheap.

Purchase: $275 at local proshop. I`m a big Mickelson fan and was swayed by his switch to the Futura last year. Grabbed it off the rack as soon as it came in, rolled a couple of putts and put it in the
bag. Poor impulse control. Pros: The loft and lie were well-suited to my stance. The grip, color notwithstanding, is well-formed and comfortable. Cons: I really wanted to like this putter. Unfortunately, its light weight made distance control problematic. Additionally, when soling the putter the club tends to open up, making alignment difficult. Quality: Well made despite its ungainly appearance. Putter cover is comprehensively homely and takes up a lot of room in a carry bag. Review Summary: Expensive mistake. Putter now lives in darkness of my basement. Now have Cameron studio model and am making more putts. On 2003-09-16, MPM25 rated this Titleist Futura a 5...(2311)
Purchase: Pro Shop $250 Pros: Perfect balance. Apparatus on back of club face allows for ease in alignment. Very pure. Cons: Putter head is quite large and takes up considerable space in travel bag Quality: Excellent - although I've had to tighten the Allen screws twice in the last 6 months Review Summary: Best alignment, weight and purity of roll On 2003-09-03, Mike Brewer rated this Titleist Futura a 5...(2232)
Purchase: I purchased my first Futura in Georgetown, TX at Golf on the Square. I had heard about the Futura but had not seen on yet. I stopped into Golf on the Square one afternoon and they had only one. It was a 34" and after trying it in the shop, I simply had to have it. I paid $300 for it. I actually needed a 35" so I lengthened it 1". Pros: The Futura has great feel and balance. The design promotes a slow, rhythmic stroke. The contact with the ball is super solid. Severals features of the putter promote confidence and accuracy when lining up and putting. The ball jumps off the putter face and rolls smoothly toward the hole. The feel of the putter stroking the ball is silky smooth. The putter is durable and easy to care for. I think it looks cool! Cons: The only thing I don't like is the size of the putter head. It doesn't fit too good in my golf bag. Also, the head cover is velcro which is fine but I would rather have something that could be slipped on and off without velcro straps. Also, I don't care much for the red baby-t grip. I prefer Winn putter grips. Quality: The construction of the putter is very solid and unique. I can't think of another putter held together with screws. The aluminum and steel components are top quality. The shaft is top quality. The grip is high quality but I prefer a different grip. Review Summary: Basically, the Futura is the best putter I have ever used and I've tried many. I have several other Cameron putters but prefer to use the Future. I love the putter so much that I bought a 2nd one to make sure I have a backup incase something happens to one of them. On 2003-08-12, D.G. in Austin rated this Titleist Futura a 3...(2045)
Purchase: I signed the putter out to try from Blackhawk GC in Texas, the retail price is $349.99. I would like to say that the putter has some fundamental characteristics that are great and others that don't measure up. The best feature is how the ball rolls after impact, obviously the way the shaft is placed on the putter head and then the way it has you behind the ball ensure that you are putting an upward motion at impact, thus giving it top spin or rolling from bottom to top. However, there is what I feel is the most important aspect of any putter, it is not any easier, rather it is really hard to line up the putter with the intended line. I mean, when you set a putter done behind a ball it should be easy to line up the putter to give the putter the best opportunity and the greatstest confidence that he/she is going to make the putt. The sound it makes is also distracting in that, you begin to anticipate the sound and now you are focusing on the sound and not your line or speed. I like the weight, the look does not bother me, what's important is that it makes putts, it has to give the user complete confidence, this putter is almost there but they need to try harder. Purchase: one of my friends had it. i paid 300 dollars Pros: it is the best out there. it all ways is square and is easy to aim. Cons: nothing Quality: un believable Review Summary: the best On 2003-07-20, Ed Lau - Futura Putter - Get one rated this Titleist Futura a 5...(1832)
Purchase: Bought on Ebay for $230.00 after trying a friend's. Pros: The balance on this putter is uncanny. The putter immediately imparts a true roll without any skidding or bounce and less sidespin. It is very easy to aim, and due to the truer roll, breaks in the green break less. Anything within 3 feet is a "tap in." Cons: I prefer a slightly heavier putter. Also, thefit in your golf bag is a little awkward due to its large size. Also, the headcover, while effective, looks like a kitchen pot holder. Your playing partners will initially stare at the thing and ask what it is. Quality: First rate all around, like a precision instrument, which is, what it is. Review Summary: I have virtually eliminated 3 putt greens. Easily the best putter out there. I have used the Callaway 2 ball, Pings, Odysseys. This putts like no other putter. You are buying a better game. Worth twice the price. On 2003-07-09, travelerBT rated this Titleist Futura a 4...(1741)
Purchase: I bought it after using it and having a fantastic round. I paid $250 Pros: The club is fantastic, very well balanced and had a good weight. I was having problems with club movement and this had taken care of that. Cons: it is rather large, and takes up alot of room with the cover on, also, it is a bit pricey, but it accomplishes alot for that price. Quality: fantastic Review Summary: Ball goes where you want it to... and that is the name of the game. On 2003-06-28, M Logan rated this Titleist Futura a 5...(1654)
Purchase: I purchased the Futura putter at Las Vegas Golf & Tennis in Las Vegas, Nevada for a retail price of $299. Why I purchased the putter is a combination of factors: (1) I am an obsessive/compulsive purchaser of golf equipment and have had many putters over the years; (2) I am always looking for the perfect putter; and (3) I practiced putting with the putter in the store for three weeks (including a left handed model when all the right handed models were sold out) and I could no longer avoid the pleasure of using it. Pros: This putter has incredible sensitivity and feel. Lag putting, close range accuracy, consistency, and effortless true rolls are all things I trust, value, and rely upon when I stand over the ball on the green. Putts from the fringe are reliable and hold the line well, also. I like the fact that the weighting promotes a smooth stroke and allows me to focus on the putt, not the putter.
Many golfers have asked to try the putter around the practice green and even on the course. Every one of them has made a remark about how good the putter feels and several mentioned that it promotes a positive stroke. A one handicapper once asked to stroke it and immediately nailed a putt from 72 feet (we walked it off!) on his first time using the putter. That was on the first hole and he asked to try it another half dozen times during the round.
Cons: I first saw the putter on TV, being used by pros on the PGA, European, and LPGA tours. I thought it looked bizarre. When it first became available at Las Vegas Golf & Tennis, I held it in my hands and still thought it looked bizarre.
I dislike the fact that it and its cover hogs so much space in my golf bag. On the green I was initially distracted by all the lines, circles, and angles of the putter. During my learning experiences with the putter, it sometimes felt too light. For a time, I was self-conscious about its size versus the "standard" putters. It attracted so much attention, I felt pressure to sink every putt so that I was deserving of owning it. Quality: I have several Scotty Cameron and Bettinardi putters. I love high quality in golf clubs--in fact, in all products I purchase. This putter has outstanding construction and quality. It should have high quality for the price, and it does--it is flawless. Review Summary: I want to like what I see when I look at the putter and ball on the green. I want to stroke the ball and have it travel the line I envisoned when I lined up the putt. I want the ball to travel the distance I feel in my shoulders, my hands, and in my mind's eye when I stroke through the ball. After four weeks of using this putter, I believe it will do all of the above every time I use it--on fast greens, bumpy or slow greens, and at all distances.
I have learned to focus on the part of the putter directly behind the blade that touches the ball, and I have become deadly with it. I have always been a good putter, and this putter helps me be at my best more often. My only regret is that with only 12 to 14 putts aside, I don't get to use it as often as I would like. After all, golf is the only game I know of where we spend so much money and time on equipment that we want to use as few times as possible per round.
