Purchase: I purchased this superb piece of (future) golfing folklore from ebay. It was a second hand item that was, literally, brand new and cost me £140, and if I live to be 133 I'll still be saving par with it in 100 years!
Pros: If you've never held one of these putters then get down to your pro shop immediately. Coming from the finest stable in putting history this club feels absolutely perfect in your hands and looks, alone, will give you the confidence to sink that 15ft par-saver. If you have the means it is a truly inspiring piece of kit. If you don't, then sell your wife and get one anyway!
Cons: Golfers on a budget will miss out on the Newport 2 as it is a costly addition to buy.
Quality: Mine is the 35 inch version, which suits the average golfer. The quality of the finish is second to none, just as you would expect from a Scotty, and the balance and feel when adressing the ball really gives you the confidence to sink the ball.

Review Summary: The Newport 2 IS an expensive addition for the average handicapper, there is no denying it. Look at it this way. If you treat it with love and respect, it REALLY will serve you a lifetime. In the longterm, it will actually save you money as well as shots.
