Purchase: At a local Used golf store for 99 bucks.
Pros: I like the feel of these clubs and the medium launch angle and the distance. I also like the looks and quality of workmanship.
Cons: nothing
Quality: The clubs are built with a look of quality.

Review Summary: I am a trader of clubs and love to try different types. I do this all the time with woods. I had a excellent set of ping I3s so they had to be traded hahah. I traded for Ben Hogan CFTs and tried to love them but they were short on distance and I could hit them good as I wanted. So I lost more money and traded for the older Armour EVO's ( and some woods to boot). By this time I am missing my pings. Nervously I played two rounds of golf hoping not to be disappointed. NEWS is these are great clubs. Distance as good as any, great looks, great feel with the ability to work the ball. They are as good as many 800 dollar new sets.

Purchase: I was playing a 3-year set of Powerbuilt irons and felt it was time for a change. I had the Armour W3 gap wedge in my bag and liked the feel. I was actually looking for a set of 845 Silver Scotts. I saw a set of the EVO-31's in a pro shop and really like the look and feel - more blade-like and nice lightweight feel. Got on e-bay and there was period just after the new Armour iron designs came out that new EVO's were selling crazy cheap. Picked up a complete set 3-PW TriGold "S" shafts for $170.
Pros: I like the look and feel of these clubs. They set up and look like a blade so alignment is easy. They have a very lightweight feel and I an able to work the ball much more consistently and controlled. Off-center hits are not painful. I haven't ranged them yet (laser) but I suspect they are giving me a modest improvement in distance (<5%). I'm hitting them straighter, but I attribute this to how, for me, they are easy to align to target.
Cons: Nothing yet. It's still early in the golf season and there has been nothing about these clubs that I can blame a bad shot on. Again, for $170, there's not much to complain about.
Quality: Irons are really great looking. People comment on the new clubs and note how classic they look - almost a shame to scuff them up. High quality - obviously. Nothing turning or flaking off. Grips new Golfpride 50th ann. version - quite good since I still have them and I'm used to using cord. I've read mixed reviews about the Tri-Gold shaft. Quite frankly, thet seem to work fine and I don't notice a big difference from my usual TT Dynamic Gold "S".

Review Summary: Really nice irons - work for me. I've unloaded my old Powerbuilts.
