On 2003-11-01, Plank rated this Tommy Armour 845 OS a 5...(2508)

Purchase: i got these irons by trading in my old maxfli revolution black dots at american golf. they gave me £75 against a £150 refurbed set of 845's which wasnt bad seen as though the second hand value of maxfli clubs has decreased significantly due to them not manufacturing golf clubs anymore. i has also been quoted £50 for my maxfli's elsewhere. i decided i needed a change from my maxfli's seen as though they didnt suit me, mainly because i was using them dynamic gold's which made the clubs too top heavy. the 845's i purchased have platinum true temper shafts which are a lot lighter and made the club much nicer to use.
Pros: these irons are extremeley forgiving and have a superb feel. the price is amazing compared to others in that price bracket. they are also easier to work the ball with compared to other irons in this price range. The revolutionary weighting system in these clubs really adds to their feel and playability and overall ease to use. They feel a lot more expensive than they are. They have a great look to them as you address the ball and sit niceley which adds to your confidence. they seem to go dead straight even during off centre hits.
Cons: i cant seem to find any faults with theses clubs, you really cannot complain about them at such a cheap price anyway.
Quality: the clubs have a nice finish and are not too glaring in the sun, they are well built and do not scuff or dent easily. excellent quality overall.

Review Summary: these clubs are a fantastic buy for the money, they will seriously improve your game if you are inconsistent with your iron shots. even though these clubs are the underdogs copmpared to other names such as mizuno or callway they are absolutely fantastic and maybe even superior! they have more feel and playability than callaway's without losing consistency or distance. if you are in the market for some new irons ona budget or if you are even a beginner, buy these clubs and with practice (as always) you will not be disappointed with your purchase! trust me.
