Purchase: Acquired on Ebay for $215 + s/h in '03. I had a very old set of Spalding Executives that needed replacing. After doing some research I felt that I could get more "bang for the buck" by going with some sort of Tommy Armours. I had a friend who bought them the year before (for $500!) and he really liked them.
Pros: Just because not too many people put this in their statements--I'm a mid 80's hitter. That may give you an idea if these clubs are for you. I like the clubs for many reasons. The club face is large--but not oversized. They're a very good looking club--and bottom line: they work! I've dropped a few strokes since getting them with more consistant play.
Cons: It took about 4 trips to the driving range to figure them out. I talked to a pro and I was about to go into "panic mode" because I was hitting them very badly (I mean...VERY). But after slowing my swing and finding the sweet spot, then going back to my regular swing--all my troubles were in the rearview mirror.
Quality: Very good quality--no complaints.

Review Summary: If you don't have $500-800 to spend on a "big name" set, then look at the Armours. The reg 845's aren't bad, but I'd go with an upgraded model such as these. I plan on keeping them for another 3 or 4 years before upgrading again. These should be good for all handicaps.
