Purchase: Won this set (3-PW) on ebay (Rock Bottom Golf) for $187.50. Was looking for an easy to hit resonably priced set of irons.
Pros: The shafts were too short and the lie needed adjusting, so I had the shafts lengthened 3/4" which solved my fitting problems. I have played these irons twice and I am extremely pleased with the results. Previously, I played a set of Ping ISI-k's and always had a problem with low trajectory. The 845U's seem to have corrected this problem, because my trajectory is noticeably higher with no loss of distance. The irons set up well and are a good looking set of irons. Lampkin grips were installed on this set and this is my first experience with them. Thus far they have not been a problem and I do not wear a glove.
Cons: Had my fitter try to change the lie on these clubs and the hosel on the 3 iron broke before he came close to 1* upright. The cast must be very brittle. One thing for sure, the lofts will be hard to move during regular play. If you want the lie changed, you have to send the irons back to the factory. I resolved my problem by lengthening the shafts. Tommy Armour is replacing the 3 iron with a sand wedge, free.
Quality: The construction and quality appear to be first class, in fact my club fitter could not believe the price I paid for this set.
