Purchase: Birthday gift...@ Golf Town in Toronto. C$348. It was the cheapest iron set available that felt good right from the first swing.
Pros: I like the original size of the head...the polished finish making it attractive. Also the weighting of the club is excellent..especially for beginners. Very forgiving even if not an os head. Straightened out my shot as a beginner and helped me progress faster than other beginners... Long iron drives!!! Very affordable...same performance as your top of the line brand name clubs.
Cons: Discontinued. : (
Quality: Construction as well as your high-end irons. Excellent.

Review Summary: I would definitely buy into Tommy Armour again once I've finished w/ these...

Purchase: pro shop-- $300
Pros: great clubs with exceptional balance and feel... very forgiving in fairways, and great long irons off the tee. Great clubs for beginers as well as an experienced golfer.
Cons: not much to dislike!
Quality: solid feel... built strong to ensure a good hit!

Review Summary: an overall great set to have.. great balance and feel for a reasonable price!

Purchase: I purchased my set of Silver Scot's at Edwin Watts in San Antonio. I had read what a forgiving set of the clubs they are for high handicappers. I paid $299.00 and I must say, it's been the best golf related investment I have ever made. The salesperson said he is amazed how many sets of these venerable clubs they still sell each week.
Pros: The clubs are extremely forgiving for the novice player. I have confidence knowing I don't have to hit it perfectly to get off a decent shot. In addition, solid hits are rewarded with a nice "thwack" that often turns heads at the ole driving range.
Cons: very small club heads require the utmost concentration. This a good thing really, but all I could come up with. I really love these clubs.
Quality: Nice chrome finish, solid construction overall...no complaints.

Review Summary: Overall, these clubs have made a round of golf quite enjoyable. I had them for about a month now and I can't stop wanting to swing them. Doesn't require alot of force to get the ball up and on the green from within 125 yds. From that distance I am very confident in these irons.
