On 2005-07-15, Par, Bogey, Bogey, Par rated this Top Flite 3000 XL Super Straight a 3...(5863)

Purchase: Can't remember exact price, but very cheap compared to other balls at Dick's.
Pros: I find this ball very long and rather straight off the tee. The feel with the driver is great.
Cons: putts like a brick and is not too forgiving when it hits the greeen. Good luck stopping this ball on a dry, quick green.
Quality: Pretty hard cover is very durable. Cart paths seem to be the only things that put a blemish on this.

Review Summary: For the money, it's a great ball. Since I'm not getting my tour card any day soon, I hit these off the tee with the driver, then switch to a softer ball once I'm in the fairway. Would much rather risk losing one of these than a Pro V, so I always have a few "good balls" that I put down for my approach and putts. I have never been able to adapt to the brickness of these balls with the putter--but that's probably just me!
