Purchase: Saw some good reviews on this ball and liked that it was listed as haveing the longest drives in a test. When I found them on closeout at Gart's Sports for $7.50 a box, I picked up a few dozen.
Pros: This ball was said to be very bright, and it is whiter than any other ball I have in my inventory, and that's a lot of different balls. Also listed as very long and durable. I played the ball for the first time yesterday and hit my longest drive ever, 290 yards. I played 9 holes with one ball and it looked like new before I hit it into a lake off the 10th tee. I'm pretty hard on balls in terms of scuffing the covers with my short irons, and this ball was doing fine. Real long and very durable. That's what I was looking for.
Cons: As always, when you find a good ball that you like, they stop making them.
Quality: Quality is excellent. Very bright compared to other balls I have checked it against. And very good resistance to scuffing.

Review Summary: For a two piece ball, this is a great ball. Doesn't scuff like a lot of balls, great distance off the tee. Soft feel, that's what you expect with a name like that. It's supposed to have good spin, but I couldn't tell as the greens are still to hard and dry. Landed a 9 iron on the green and couldn't find a ball mark, so I wasn't surprised that the ball didn't check up. Nothing will until the grass starts to grow again.

Purchase: Target $19 for 15 balls.
Pros: This ball is the closest to a pro -V1 under $20 that you can buy!
Cons:
Quality:

Review Summary: As a 9 handicap - I generally hit the ball well on most shots. The Infinity ball is quite exceptional - long off the tee, spins into the green, nice feel on putting (buttery feels). I love this ball. I have used the Pro-V1, Top Flight XL2000 and 3000, Nike Tour Accurac and others. For the price, the best ball on the market I have ever tried!!!

Purchase: Dick's Sporting Goods - $17.99/dozen
Pros: Great feel, soft, long off the driver, stops quick on greens.
Cons: Nothing.
Quality: Excellent

Review Summary: I am a now 14 handicapper whose game was greatly improved by the new low compression balls. I started playing golf in March of 1999 and shot in the 120s. A few years ago, I switched to the Precept Lady and my game instantly improved. Longer off the tee and still fairly soft around the greens. My handicap went from a 32 to a 28 to a 21 to an 18 and now to a 14. I play at least twice a week. Because, like most golfers, I am always looking for that extra edge, I kept switching balls while staying in that same long/soft genre. I switched to the Precept Laddie next, then the Maxfli Noodle, then the Dunlop LoCo and I thought each ball was better than the previous one. Finally, I found the Titleist SoLo, which I thought would be the one I'd stick with. It seemed like the ultimate combo of soft and long. Since I settled on the SoLo, I played the Precept U-Tri, the Titleist Pro V1, the Maxfli Noodle Spin and the Nike Super Soft. I was sure the Titleist SoLo was the best of the bunch and I'd decided that was the ball I'd play from now on. Well, I was walking through Dick's Sporting goods this past Staurday and I saw the new Top-Flite Infinity balls. I had just that day read an article in the September '03 Golf Digest about golf balls entitled "Cutting to the Core." The article mentioned the Infinity balls. So, of course I bought a dozen. On Sunday, I played a Top-Flite Infinity Buttery Feel for the first time. WOW! This is absolutely the best ball I have ever played. It felt great! It exploded off of my driver and irons, yet I could stop it fairly quickly on the greens, something I could not do with the SoLo. It was longer than the SoLo, it was softer than than the SoLo, it was a better ball than the Solo. How about that? Top-Flite makes a better ball than Titleist! Now I know there are golfers out there who would never believe that. I also know that there are golfers out there that won't play a Top-Flite even if it was a better ball, because the Top-Flite name dosen't have enough snob appeal. I suppose Top-Flite could just call these balls "Infinity" and drop the Top-Flite name. It's what Toyota did with Lexus, Nissan did with Infiniti and what Top-Flite did with Strata. Now, as for me, I don't care what this ball is called, I am going to play it from now on. Sunday was a day of more than one first for me--it was the first time I played a Top-Flite Infinity Buttery Feel but it was also the first time I carded an eagle! On a 520 yard par 5, I hit driver, 3 wood and I had about 60 yards to a back center pin. I stepped up with my 64* lob wedge and took a nice, smooth swing. I started the ball a little right, with a slight draw. It tracked right on line with the pin, hit the green about 3 feet from the pin and bounced into the cup. It was an awesome feeling. At that point, I fell completely in love with this ball! I will stick with the Top-Flite Infinity Buttery Feel from now on. I just hope Top-Flite keeps making them!
