Purchase: I was interested that Strata had a 3 piece soft ball that was directly marketed against 2 piece balls like the Noodle, Laddie, etc. I thought that a 3 piece, soft ball in the $20.00 price range was worth checking out. I paid $19.99 at Golfsmith.
Pros: I was able to drive this ball as long as or longer as any other soft ball. The feel of the driver head is excellent, soft but not spongy. I get very good loft and very straight flights. Short game control is better than soft two piece balls (like Laddie or Srixon Soft Feel), very good feel and great grip on the greens. Even lower-loft shots from my 5 iron hold the greens very well.
Cons: The cover may be a bit soft, a little more prone to scuffs from hitting a cart path or the like. I have not seen any markes from my club face, so maybe I just need to stop hitting the ball into hard objects an keep it on the grass!
Quality: The first thing that I noticed was the brilliant white cover, which I like (some lower cost balls have an off-white cast, which can make them a bit harder to find...). Quality over-all appears to be first rate.

Review Summary: If you use a more expensive 3 (or 4) piece ball, buy a sleave of these, you may be suprised and save yourself some money at the same time! If you use 2 piece balls in this price range, why not try the feel and control of a 3 piece ball at the same price?
