Purchase: Got a sleeve of these as a gift when entering a tournament. Pros: Very good distance off the driver, equal to most of the premium balls out there. Soft feel off the irons. Flight did not baloon when playing into the wind. The card suites instead of numbers are gimmicky but fun. Cons: The cover of this ball got chewed up pretty quickly. A full sand wedge from the fairway put a scuff to it like it had hit a cart path. All of the premium soft covered balls are prone to this, but these seem to be lagging the competition in durability. Doesn't have quite the spin of say a Pro-V1. It does hit and stop, just don't expect to back it up as much with these. Quality: The performance of the Tour Ace is good all around. Good length and feel. If they could make the covers more resilliant, these would be up there with the best. Review Summary: A good all around ball. I think they'll have to re-engineer the covers to make people convert from their Titleists, especially since they are priced the same.

Purchase: $29.99 from Golfsmith.com. They were cheaper than most retailers by about $5.00. I had not yet hit these and wanted to see what Top Flite/Strata's top dog had to offer. Pros: First of all, this ball is definitely long. Gained about 10 yards over Nike TA2 LNG's that I was playing, with a softer feel to boot! Also, spin is exceptional. Easy to back up those approach shots when needed. The one hop and stop claim is not just advertising propoganda. These perform nicely all around. Great control around the greens and putts true as well. Cons: Quality is good, and performance to match all the top balls on the market. Now if they could just rename them to "Top Flite Tour Ace"!!! Quality: No complaints. Review Summary: With so many "premium" ball offerings these days, there's a lot to choose from. If you like the Top Flite name and want a ball that performs like a true tour ball, then this is worth your time. Now the only question remaining is, "How many different balls can Callaway/Hogan/Strata/Top Flite offer, and why should I play one over the others?"
