Purchase: Purchased the club from a local golf retailer. Club is pricey at 340 but has been dropping to 279 lately at online retailers.
Pros: The ball absolutely EXPLODES off the club face. It has the same "feel" as my cobra comp driver in this regard. The swing weight is very comfortable. I have no trouble hitting far and accurate with this club. It is easily 30 or more yards longer than my previous #3. I expect to take off 4-5 strokes per round with this club.
Cons: The club cover has a soft plastic "sticker" to identify that is a three wood. It fell off on the first round. Customer service indicated they knew it was a problem but did not have a solution or a replacement. Pay that much for a club and it looks junky in the bag--not good for a club that performs as well as this one.
Quality: "This intensely dramatic design combines a lightweight, high-tech, titanium-cupped face with a heavier Hypersteel body. Focusing entirely on performance, every single gram of excess weight is eliminated from the face area and shifted to the rear skirt and sole for a deeper center of gravity and the longest hitting, best feeling fairway wood in golf. Purchase: Purchased at Fiddler's Green Golf Shop for $340 each via the club sales rep. I bought the 3-5-7 woods because I was looking to replace my outdated set.
Pros: These are amazing clubs. The ball rockets off the club face like no club I have ever seen or hit. I am a 15 handicap with a low swing speed. These clubs add a great deal of distance and feel without having to swing out of your shoes. The feel and control are incredible and I could not be more pleased with this new technology. Tour Edge has historically been perceived as a "second tier" manufacturer. These clubs will bring them to the forefront of the fairway woods market. The "Exotics" are the "real deal."
Cons: The price is high but you only live once and these are incredible clubs.
Quality: The manufacturer has found a way to combine steel and titanium in a way that I don't fully understand but it works. The launch angle is high and the spin rate is low. The level of control is amazing. You really have to hit these to know what I'm trying to say here. Go to your favorite shop and ask for them. Once you hit them you will be inspired...no kidding. I'm not a sales rep for Tour Edge, but would consider it after hitting these clubs. They really are that good. I'm amazed!!!

Review Summary: The Tour Edge "Exotics" will launch Tour Edge to the to top of the fairway woods market. The technology is new and it's incredible. If you want added distance from your fairway woods and a great feel give these bad boys a try. They are fun to hit and I find myself laughing out loud on the driving range. I'm not rich and I'm not an outstanding golfer but these clubs make the game a lot more fun and they are worth the investment. Great technology and Fujikura shafts...what else do you need to know? Best clubs I have ever hit.
