Purchase: After the Vector analysis said I should hit the Pro V1x or HX Black I started looking for an less expensive ball that would play comparable. While shopping at my favorite Roger Dunn golf shop in Seal Beach, CA. I asked a salesman to point me to a ball that he thought was an inexspensive equivalent to the Pro V1x and he sugeested the Volvik amongest a few other balls. I choose the Volvik because of the distinctive look and mid-range price of 19.99, I choose the peach/ orange color. Pros: The ball is a solid performer, I played it for 18 holes and walked away with not one scuff mark. I averaged about 278 per drive with the ball, a little less than usual but hit every single fairway, did I say every single yes I mean every single fairway. The color made it easy for me to spot my ball from 150 away. My buddies were amused by the color, calling my ball "a little feminine" but all that changed at the end. Everyone wanted to hit it butI refused because of the earlier insults, they hurt my ball feelings. Cons: Litterally loved everything about it, I'll scarifice a little distance for accuracy any day. Quality: Review Summary: Great product, went and bought 3 dozen more before they take it off the market (which usually happens to things I like). I would suggest to the Volvik company however, spruce up that website get some things jumpin around, a product this good needs more fan fare. One last thing, I shoot my best round and defeated well okay tied my instructor for the first time ever thanks to this ball.

Purchase: On September 4, 2004 I purchased 12 Volvik Crystal balls for $19.99 at Golf Headquarters in Greenwood, IN. I originally saw these balls in July at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL. I was intrigued by the dimple pattern and claims of distance and softness.
When they appeared at a local golf store I asked the pro about them. He said people that bought them came back for more so I decided to give them a try. Especially since I was going to play the next week at a course that demanded accurate shots. Pros: I played a Crystal ball and other balls from the same positions throughout an entire round for the sake of comparing them.
I found the Crystal ball to be very accurate. I was hitting more greens and felt the ball went straighter. The claims of softness due to the 70 compression rating are true. I played with a Titleist Pro V1 and NXT Tour at during the same round and the Crystal was more accurate. I even gave one to a friend to try. After using one for a round, he told me too thought the ball was extremely accurate. Cons: The ball is not as long off the tee as a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. Quality: The ball's covering is clear, hence the Crystal name. The interior comes in several colors including pink, white, and lemon. I believe the ball is two piece. Even though it's soft, the ball does not scuff easily. Review Summary: An excellent buy at $20 a dozen. You may sacrifice some distance off the tee but make up for it by the ball's increased accuracy.
