Purchase: I caught the Labor Day sale at TGW, paid $21.21 per dozen. Pros: I have been looking for a ball to suit my game for the last three years. I found it in the Px3. This ball is long, but soft around the green. I am getting great carry on my drives, than it keeps rolling. Around the greens it checks up very well. If you hit high approach shots, it stops dead. You may have trouble trying to pitch and run, as it wants to check up. When putting, it runs true. Cons: It will sink like a rock. Quality: The ball is 3 piece contruction, and very durable. Got a slight scuff after hitting a cart path. Review Summary: I have tried about all of the 2 piece balls, and even a few 4 piece tour balls. It may not back up like a Pro V, but it is on par with the Callaway HX balls. The only ball I have found that is longer, is the Wilson Smart Core Pro Distance. My search is over. I'm sticking with the Px3.

Purchase: $24.95 + tax at Pro Golf Discount in San Diego, CA. Pros: Decent distance. Almost too easy to work this ball (see below)! Cons: Let me just start out by saying that I am predisposed to like all Wilson products. I still play 1980(!) Wilson Staff Blades (even had them rechromed), Wilson Deep Red II Tour Driver & fairway woods, and Wilson Staff Tour wedges and Wilson putter. I also help out by testing all kinds of golf equipment.
Now for this ball > IT IS JUNK!
1) it does NOT spin enough around the greens (short pitches and chips > it rolls & rolls & rolls & rolls, etc.
2) it is VERY "squirrely" off the long and mid-irons > very much like the old Titleist 100 copression balata balls
3) it has a tendancy to "balloon" into head winds on all clubs except driver AND
4) it SCUFFS WAY TOO EASY off of wedges > which makes it even MORE SQUIRRELY on your next shot > this certainly has to do with the callaway-like type dimples.
Finally, I can virtually guarantee that Wilson WILL FIX THIS (shedding problem) in the next version of this ball (PX3-2?) > Just like the Callway "fixed" the shedding problem of the Hogan Red ball. Quality: OK, but see the above "dislikes" section for info on this. Review Summary: Thus, I would wait for the Wilson Staff TX4 tour to come out and give this ball a big pass for now! Purchase: Recieved as a gift for Christmans, I beleive purchased at the Golf Warehouse online, $24.95. Pros: I actually like the look of the unconventional flat "pan-head" dimples.
Distance not an issue between the higher end "player's" golf ball and the next tier of performance balls. I have found that what you tend to lose between the high end multi-layer ball and the 2 or 3 piece ball is spin around the green. Surprisingly this ball at this price range has quite a bit of spin, on par with the Titleist NXT tour. Cons: I suppose the dimples could be displeasing to some. Quality: So far seems durable enough, have hit it off a cartpath with only slight scuffing of cover. In one misfortunate event was punching out of rough/trees and smacked the ball right off a tree, dead on, left no mark on the ball. Review Summary: At this price point, on par with Titleist NXT series and Precept powerdrive. May not spin as much as Titleist, but more then Precept.
