Purchase: I purchased this club from Golf Galaxy for $99.99.
Pros: Yesterday I spend the better part of the morning at Golf Galaxy. For those unfamiliar, Golf Galaxy allows you to hit test drives into a simulator that monintors your distance, club speed, vertical launch, etc. It's pretty cool. My mission was to find a new driver for 2005. I was prepared to spend whatever it took. When all was said and done what it took was $99.99. I tested the following: Titleist 983K, Ping G2, Wilson Staff, Taylormade R7, Taylormade R5, MacGregor MacTec, Nike Ignite and the new Cleveland Launcher. With the exception of the occasional good hit, most of these clubs were consistently in the 260-275 yard range. Not bad, but nothing to write home about either. The best of the bunch was the Ping G2 with a stiff G-Blue 65 shaft. If I really hit it square, I could get this one out there in the mid 290s. After deciding that none of the new drivers would be a major improvement over what I have, I took a quick glance through the used clubs. Having read some positive reviews on the site for the Wilson Deep Red, and seeing a 425CC stiff shafted one in the bid, I decided to try it out. My first shot was hit a little off-center, so I was surprised when the reading came back that it went 284 yards. The next three were all solidly in the 290s, and then I hit five-in-a-row over 300, topping it off with a 317 monster with a nice draw. By the time I was done hitting I actually had a small crowd watching me hit. Better still, the club only cost $99.99, and clearly outperformed its more pricey competitors. I don't totally trust the simulator, and I'm very anxious to take it out on the course (which given the current cold temps, may be awhile), but I have no doubt it will be a major step up for me.
Cons: Given that Golf Galaxy did not carry the Deep Red model, I would have preferred testing other lofts and shafts.
Quality: Terrific! The deep red color scheme is very attractive.

Review Summary: This goes to prove that more money does not necessarily mean a better product. Four of the drivers I tried were $350+. I would be willing to spend it if they improved my performance. They didn't. Wilson Deep Red is the best of both worlds: high peformer/low cost.
