Purchase: Bought it at Don Sherwood Golf and Tennis in San Francisco. Editors note: This is the , 10.5 degree, stiff flex fat shaft - review update.
Pros: This is an update to a prior review I wrote on this driver. It has been a year since I bought it and I thought people might like an update. After a year, I still love this driver. My handicap has gone down from 15 to 9 and hitting the fairways consistently is a big part of that change. My average good drive is 245 yards, with one or two drives during a round in the 290 range when I hit the sweet spot. Even my mishits are 220+. Nothing to complain about here. People at the range who have asked to try out Deep Red have uniformly said, "Wow" after hitting the first ball. I have to admit, that is rather satisfying.
Cons: If you don't take care of the top of the club, the finish could get dinged. After a year, I have one ding.
Quality: Good quality. I kept the grip and have not had any problems.

Review Summary: Great driver. I will keep this one for awhile.

Purchase: Traded in a Callaway Hawkeye VFT driver to aquire this weapon of a club. I tried it at a demo session and fell in love with the extra 30 yards of straight distance I was consistently geting with it.
Pros: Distance, distance, distance. It is very easy to hit. Plus, it looks very cool at address.
Cons: Not many people stock it, which is a shame. If more golf shops displayed it and even tried it themselves, the would be believers. Wilson needs to come up with a new headcover, the one supplied is on the smallish side and is a pain to get on and off.
Quality: Excellent quality and cnstruction. Sweet sounding club as well.

Review Summary: Excellent purchase I am sure you would not be sorry for. At least try it once.
