Purchase: I purchased the club at Golf Galaxy for $299; I bought it because I was not hitting fairways with my old Callaway Great Big Bertha 10 degree driver. I was led to believe this club would be straighter and longer on mishits. I play once a week at 7:42 on Sunday morning with no mid-week practice, so I am obviously lacking consistency.
Pros: It sets up and swings very easily. As promised, mis-hits did not seem to lose as much distance or direction. My first time out I hit 9 of fourteen fairways from 230 to 250 yards. This greatly exceeded my previous driving performance.
Cons: The head cover is a pain to put back on. Maybe it will loosen with time, but it takes some concentration and effort right now.
Quality: The construction and quality seem impeccable. The Deep Red finish is very appealing, almost giving the illusion of the finish found years ago on persimmon woods. It also reminds me (on sunny days) of a star ruby, because the sun ray runs from toe to shaft across the top of the club head.

Review Summary: I have never believed better or newer equipment was the answer to better golf, preferring to believe that a better swing was. However, I looked at and thought about this driver for two years before deciding to buy it (obviously, the new model is improved from the one I looked at 2 years ago)and once having taken the plunge I am convinced this technology is better and more forgiving for a player like me who lacks consistency
