Purchase: So one day I'm out at Golf Central (a golf franchise in Atlantic Canada). Anyways, I show up with $250-ish (Canadian) and I take a stroll through their selection of drivers for close to a half hour, checking out the flex, club face, grip and weight of various drivers, and I end up at the section where you would typically find the cheaper clubs... There it was, The Wilson Fatboy.
The guy had pointed it out as being their highest selling club all season and after a few swings I couldn’t pass it up! ...especially for just $129.99 !
Pros: Wilson Fatboy 427cc Driver:
- Very light weight!
- Serious Distance!
- Very Forgiving.
- You don't need to hit any "Sweet-Spot" for maximum distance.
- Large and Sleek club face.
- Nice and loud at impact.
- Perfect loft: 10.5 degrees.
- Titanium Composite.
- The club's feel alone will give you confidence in the shot your about to make!
- Huge effective hitting area provides superior results for players of all levels.
- UST ProForce Gold shaft with Tip Stiff Technology with more wins on the PGA Tour than any other- is the powerful engine of this distance machine!
- Soft wrap grips for highest quality feel and performance.
- Includes head cover.
- With a price of only $129.99 (Canadian) you'll feel as though you stole it.
- I would have easily paid $500 for this club.
Cons: Though I've only been golfing for 3 years and am just a beginner, I would still love to experience the feeling of teeing-off with a driver that looks like it cost $500 and packs a serious punch. Therefore, the only thing I dislike about this amazing club is it's colour. Having a Purple-Blue and bright yellow driver makes me feel slightly childish stepping up to the ball, but I'm telling you... It means next to nothing after you see what the Wilson Fatboy can do for your drives!
Quality: Like I said when I was describing what i liked about it... "I would have easily paid $500 for this club."
Review Summary: The Wilson Fatboy has made the tee shot the strongest part of my game. It is a club that I will have in my bag for a long, long time, and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone!
