On 2004-12-17, Tho rated this Wilson Pd5 Driver 10.5 Stiff Flex Shaft a 4...(4861)

Purchase: Purchased Wilson Staff driver to replace and upgrade an old TaylorMade model that needed replacing. Puchased at Golf Galaxy shop for 299.99.
Pros: Tried several different models in golf simulator at store and for the price has the best lauch angle, best carry of the units that I tried for my swing. Sampled Taylormade R5 Neutral, Cleveland Launcher, Cobra SZ, Mizuno comp, Callaway BB 2, and Titleist 983K. The only drivers that looked better at address were the Titleist and the Taylor. Nice gray, Nano/comp top, clean lines at address, good sound at impact and good feel. For me, quite straight consistently which is what I am looking for, the short grass.
Cons: Not too thrilled with the red color on the shaft, but it is no worse than the stock yellow shaft on the Cleveland. No other complaints yet.
Quality: Very good.

Review Summary: Seems to be a good fit for my swing. I certainly wouldn't hesitate telling people to give the driver a try and see how it works for them.
