Purchase: I bought these clubs on E-bay for $350.00 in 2003.
Pros: I have played these clubs for 3 years now so I feel like I can give an accurate if lengthly review.I read as many iron reviews as I could in 2003 because I wanted an upgrade in clubs but I was picky because I wanted all the game improvement I could get as I was shooting in the upper 90's to 100 at the time. I was impressed with the reviews and that is why I bought them. What a great decision. This is my 3rd year playing these clubs and everything you read about these clubs are true. They are very long and very straight. Yes, it is true that you cant work the ball, but thats because these are THE game improvement clubs. They are not for single hadicappers. But they are for 90% of all other golfers who are 10+ handicaps. If your swing is decent(and it has to be for any club to work)the ball comes of these clubs like a heat-seeking missle.Laser straight with a piercing, whistling velocity that will make you grin and your playing partners envious. If there is any left-right tendicy it would be to pull to the left but that may be me and my fast swing speed. These clubs are long. The lofts are slightly stronger which promotes a more piercing trajectory, but I get great spin on the greens. Again I have a fast swing, but to give you an idea on these clubs, I get 220-230 off the tee with the 3-iron(beautiful rips),165 off the tee with the 8-iron and 145 off the tee with the PW. Take about 6-9 yards off with fairway shots and thats close to PGA distances who play musclebacks. The real advantage is when your about 210-215 out and you can blast a 3-iron to the green while others are trying to control a fairway wood,(big advantage on par 5's because you have a better chance of getting on or real close in 2).The PW seems a little too strong and I can only tell about 5 yards distance between it and the 9-iron, which is no big deal but that makes the PW hard to control around the greens(buy a good short game wedge and your set).I hit a 6-iron off the tee real hard once on a 300 yard par 4.I just wanted to be safe but rip it out there for a wedge on. I hit it perfect and the ball carried 220 yards in the air! These clubs are smokers. They will send you over the green if you get juiced up and swing hard.I love to pull out my 3-iron on medium to short par 4's and rip it 220-230 in the fairway while others have to hit and control 3-woods. These are great clubs. So good you may not want to let your playing partners know about them, because make no mistake, they give you an advantage.Long and straight is what we all strive for and these clubs deliver.
Cons: Nothing of any worth. Only that the PW is a little too strong.3 years and still grinning.
Quality: Very good looking clubs. I liked the looks of the fat shaft from the beginning and even more after I see how straight these clubs are.
Review Summary: Dont be put off because Wilson sold lower quality clubs for a while. They were making golf clubs in the 20's and were THE club on tour and all over for decades. They have made a renewed commitment the past 5 or so years and it shows. All top tier Wilson clubs are getting great reviews. These clubs have made a name for themselves with amateurs while the Wilson Staffs are coming on with the pros. Great quality clubs that will make you love golf every time you rip one on the green.

Purchase: I bought my deep red fat shaft irons on ebay for the buy it now price of $189. I had been watching them on ebay for several months and they all seemed to be selling for $220 so I jumped at the chance to get mine for $189.
Pros: I love these clubs. The oversize head is so easy to hit compared to my old taylor made irons. Setting up square to the ball is easier too. The ball flight is not as high as I expected but the direction is nearly always where I aim and my left of the green and right of the green shots are greatly diminished. Even the ones I mishit still go straight. The insert that is supposed to remove vibration to the hands seems to work quite well as those nasty shocks to the hands arent there anymore. And I must say I dont mishit to many anymore with these clubs. I beleive I have gained some distance as well maybe a little less than ten yards per club. When I looked at these clubs at my local golf store I thought the fat shafts might bother me visually as I set up. That hasnt been the case as I dont even notice the fat shaft. The appearance and finish is .second to none My local golf store wanted three and a half times what I paid for a used set so I am happy with my purchase If you are having trouble hitting the ball straight I would recommend you try these if you want to see an immediate improvement in your game.
Cons: There really isnt anything I can say about these clubs that I dont like.
